Had the catfish, which I know takes extra time. No problem ever either that. No problem with the food, I get the catfish most times, it is very good!! The speaker has been out, so you have to place order at the window. No issue with that, but come on the speaker has been out for awhile now. Can the owners not have it replaced? There is a sign at the window telling folks to be nice to the employees working there. The gentleman at the window was pleasant, not sure if was new and learning or not used to working register or had another circumstance. I ordered a 3 piece catfish dinner, it comes with 2 sides. I wanted an extra side and a drink. I was charged for the catfish dinner, and was charged for each of the sides individually, and double charged on the extra side I ordered. I just let it go because the guy was trying, but he was having a hard time concentrating and repeated each item back to me three or more times, I think that was one reason I was overcharged. The food came out the items I ordered were in the order. No more no less. But $40.00 for a 3 piece fish dinner an extra side and drink I do not believe was correct. That could be why folks may not be pleasant to the employees. Maybe I was not the first that had been overcharged… I just chose to bite the bullet and will not be quick to return, sadly. Live and learn…

This chicken express was the worst I have ever been too. We sat in the drive through for about 10 minutes,before we decided to go in. The girl behind the counter says oh the speaker doesn’t work. Would have been nice to have a sign out saying that. She seemed like she didn’t care. Also the chicken tenders we got,were not fresh. They were old and kind of chewy. Won’t be going back there ever again. Not to mention the inside was super dirty. Place should be closed down. Worst place ever.

I got my dinner, it was okay, but they took absolutely forever. The girl serving did not want to be there and expressed it on her countenance. She charged me twice for the order and when I made the 30 min drive back to get my money returned, he turned me away asking for me to come back the next day. When I had made the trip back again, the owner was not there as promised. The same girl who served me, would walk away from me in the middle of my sentences to talk on her phone while I shared my greivence, twice. When the owner called me several hours later, I respectfully asked for a complete reimbursement for all the trouble this has caused me. He literally yelled at me saying I was asking for gas money! I will NEVER be eating here again, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I was totally disappointed with the food here. My toddler kept begging for Mac and cheese so I stopped here to get her some. I ordered a snack pack and let’s just say it was a total waste of my money. The Mac and cheese smelled horrible and tasted old. My daughter took one bite and said “it’s disgusting” it had a funny smell to it plus there was some type of brown sticker on the inside of my container. The chicken was no better. I’m not sure what it was but O took a bite of the chicken and Mac and cheese and had a horrible after taste in my mouth for at least 15 minutes. I haven’t had Chicken Express in a few years and I’m sure it’ll be another few years before I try it again. The young man that worked the drive thru was friendly and helpful.

Nothing fast about the service. 30 minutes to get a combo meal that was barely warm. Spent first 15 minutes waiting in the drive through to order because although the speaker worked, was directed to pull around and order at window. The rest of time spent waiting for gravy, but no one shared this info until I gave up and walked in the store.

I got a once in a million time bad order cause my foods usually good here, so when I called and asked for the manager, from the minute I asked he was rude, I MEAN COMPLETELY RUDE, I tried to laugh it off but his demeanor never changed. I was telling him about my experience and he said more rude out of the way things regarding my order so instead of taking it back cause I still have it I decided to drive to Forney to get CHICKEN EXPRESS from this point on.

There were no customers when we arrived. We ordered and had to sit a dirty booth to wait for our food. A family of 3 came in to order after us and they waited for more than 5 minutes and no even acknowledged them so they left. Almost all the tables were dirty.

The manager John is a bad manager is most definitely the reason why this place has been getting bad reviews. He’s been making a minor work more than the legal 8 hours and even making them stay late on a school night. I won’t eat here until John is fired.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. We waited over 40 minutes for a 20 piece chicken tender meal. This location has a sign that they are short staffed which I understand during the pandemic. However 40 minutes to get chicken tenders that taste and smell like nothing but old grease is such a horrible experience and waste of 42 dollars. Fries were also cold and re-fried. Bread was hard and stale. Owner needs to do a better job. This place used to be a great place to eat. We had to throw the food away as we could not even eat the food the taste of grease was so bad.

ZERO STARS!!! Drive through staff was extremely rude. I am hearing impaired in my right ear and stated that I could not hear her and she yelled at me to go to the window. She opened the window like we were bothering her. She snapped at me after I ordered Mac and cheese because they were out…at 4pm in the afternoon. Then upon handing the order she dropped part of it out the window. They have a sign posted about being kind to their staff but I can understand why people treat them badly, they are mean, hateful people. The sign states it must keep it’s good employees. From what I saw, it wasn’t the bitter woman working the drive through. She had no hair restraints on, no gloves while serving the food, I’m sure the health dept.would love to walk into this place. My husband called the owner of the franchise and tried to explain to him what happened and the owner started cussing at him. After the call ended, the owner continued to text my husband calling him a loser etc. After reading the reviews I am guessing we are not the only people who have been mistreated at this place and I feel the CE Franchise people need to step in because this arrogant, crude individual is damaging the name. We spent $52.00 and ended up with ice cold gravy, soggy okra and a very bad taste in our mouth. If you want to be mistreated ( disability or not ) go to this place. I will buy my chicken from POPS CHICKEN in Terrell, they have great customer service and great food. The ADA will also be contacted.
