I just went there and bought 2 kids meals and got pink chicken. I tried to call the store and the one manager refused to come to the phone while the other one tried to tell me all they could do is put me on a list to replace it. This isn’t the 1st time this has happened but it is the 1st time I have called about it. Im very upset. It is the Tahlequah oklahoma location. The lady I spoke to was beyond rude to me about the situation and I already feel bad… I’m recovering from the flu and they wanted to provide Pink chicken. I had to call the school to tell my son to not eat anymore of his chicken as I had taken 1 of the meals with me. After that terrible call, I tossed the food in the trash but I will NEVER return to this location again. They are always unprofessional and the food is never cooked throughly. Ive given them numerous chances.

We have driven by this place many, many times but never stopped. Finally did.
Very surprised by the visit. Chicken strips were good. We preferred the spicy. This is one of the few places that still have gizzard too.

I didn’t catch his name but the young man whirling the counter Sunday 23 November in the late afternoon was one of the most polite persons I’ve met lately. He really seemed to love his job and helping folks get a great meal. 100 stars!

27 minutes from the time I ordered til I got everything needed to have lunch. Didn’t appreciate the smart mouthed girl in the drive thru and the manager, if that’s what ya call him, never apologized or anything for my terrible experience, he just stood there looking at me while the smart mouthed girl grinned!
I ordered a 3 fillet combo, green beans, hushpuppies and an unsweetened iced tea. Paid $14.22, got parked, 6 minutes later I went in and asked about my food and my drink. They said it’s not ready yet! What?! So I go back to my car and couple minutes later a smart mouthed girl brings order, I drive away. Now remember I ordered green beans..Just so happen to look in box, no plastic ware, so I turn around and drive back, speaker says “place you order” (didn’t even welcome me to the place) I replied do you eat green beans with your fingers?!?! And drove around. Same smart mouthed girl comes to window and I ask for plasticware..she stands there dumbfounded and finally says “like a spoon?” I said “fork please”
She casually walks off smiling and brings me a DAMN SPOON!
So I ask for the manager, he only said one word..”yes” when he walked to the window! Really Chicken Express?!?!?! What kind of place are yall running here??
Oh and by the way, my unsweet iced tea had NO ice in it!

Drive-thr was very fast as it was little to no wait at 2pm on a weekday. However it tasted like the food was under a heatlamp a few hours since lunch rush hour and the chicken strips were a dry and rubbery texture. The spicy chicken tenders were a tasty flavor, just make sure you go durring peak hours when the food is fresh. Oh i also asked for a biscuit and was given this sweet hamburger-bun thing so check your bag before you leave.

My favorite place for chicken strips, french fries and fried okra for over 2 years. Something has changed in the past 4-6 weeks though. They keep forgetting my fries ?? Chicken strips (Reg) are also looking kinda weak. Thin batter or something.

Service was terrible Liliana waited on me thru the drive thru. Her customer service was awful from taking my order to trying to understand I wanted sauce instead of gravy with my tenders. When I got to to the window she had a guy ring me up. I asked him if she understood what I wanted and he tried to take care of it. She came over with an attitude. Chicken tenders and okra were cold so I went back thru the drive thru and asked for some hot okra. She rolled eyes. I drove from NWA to get this food and I’m highly disappointed. Prob won’t come back.

Hey, I’m never going to knock a good chicken place. Granted because of the abundance of chicken restaurants in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma… I’m also expecting a five star rating only for those that go above and beyond. Four stars is on my book a super decent reading and chicken express certainly rests as one of those places that satisfies both my craving and my sense of wonder. Who can stop from wondering what chicken taste like in a place where these logo mascot is a dead chicken carcass being flung across the matte red backdrop!!! Upon entering, there are a lot of options that I would normally see with your different tenders and strips and fillets, but hold your horses… They have an entire menu, selection for gizzards and livers!!
I consider Arkansas and Oklahoma, still part of the south in general, and I used to live in Florida, which oddly is NOT considered the south, but the type of food you encounter down there is TrueSouth and I miss those old Florida gas stations in restaurants that serve gizzards. That’s what I had here, and I can say my gizzard tooth was satisfied, but not completely satiated. The breading was light and flash cooked and not seasoned hardly at all, but I still give them points for putting such a crowd-dividing item on the menu so proudly. I do not live in Tahlequah but I visit often and this place has kept me coming back because of its unique menu, item selection, and its great location by the bypass.
