Absolutely Delicious! A Hidden Gem!
Chicken Bucket blew me away! This is our 2nd time here and it didn’t disappoint! The portions are huge, the fried chicken is cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside—and the sides taste just like true Southern comfort food. The mac & cheese was creamy and rich, the fried okra was seasoned just right, and those soft dinner rolls were the perfect finishing touch.
We ordered one of the chicken plates and were honestly shocked at how much food we got for the price. Everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was friendly, fast, and kept the place clean, even during a busy lunch rush.
The menu is packed with options, the weekly specials are a great value, and you can tell this is a spot locals love. If you want generous portions, homestyle cooking, and consistently great flavor, Chicken Bucket is absolutely worth the stop.

First time trying out this restaurant. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. They even have outdoor seating. Will definitely be back.

I used to eat here a couple of times a week for about six months, and during that time, the food was consistently good. The Hispanic man who owns the place genuinely cares about the quality of the food being served. However, after a while, I started noticing new faces working there, including the owner’s wife. When she is working, her primary concern seems to be getting orders in and out quickly, not the quality of the food. The food does not taste the same when she is there, and her customer service is very poor. Customer service is king when serving the public, and this was clearly lacking.
On 12/11/25, I ordered a smothered pork chop dinner. The pork chops were extremely tough—I couldn’t even bite into them. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the owner, but the person who answered the phone refused to let me talk to him, saying he was busy. She also would not allow me to speak to the wife. Instead, I could hear the wife relaying a message through the employee, telling me to take a picture of the food and bring it back the next time I came in so the meal could be replaced.
I returned on 12/27/25 to have my meal replaced, but the Hispanic man working the drive-through told me there were no notes or records indicating that my order was supposed to be replaced. Due to this experience, I will not be returning.

I love the food! This is the first time I’ve had some really good catfish and didn’t have to pay $30 for it and the portion size is wonderful. The fried wings were fried to perfection and seasoned. It’s like a little jewel in a neighborhood. I drove 25 minutes to try them out and it was worth every minute I like that it is a family owned restaurant versus a chain

I ate here 5 years ago and it was trash. Went back today and guess what….still trash! Chicken taste like it was cooked in oil that ain’t been changed in months! Lemon pepper seasoning was barely there. Save ya money

I walked in expecting “local chicken,” I walked out questioning my entire relationship with KFC.
The chicken here is stupid good — crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody’s grandma has a PhD in flavor. KFC tastes like hospital food next to this.
Fries were solid, service was friendly, and my only complaint is I don’t live closer. If you’re thinking about it, stop thinking and just go — your taste buds will file a formal complaint if you don’t.

I have given this place a chance time after time. It started with Food being left out my order in the drive thru, so I started going inside to do my order. I went here this Tuesday and ordered the 4piece chicken meal. I paid the extra $1.00 for all white meat. I got to my car and something told me to check my plate. I had only 2 pieces of white meat and 2 dark. So go back inside. I tried to explain, along with my receipt in my hand, that I paid extra for “All white meat”. I’m not sure if he was the owner but he came out and showed me another receipt and said this is what I had. I said No I had this and then let him know the receipt he had wasn’t even my name. So I showed him my receipt to prove I paid for all white meat. He said I had to pay an additional $1 to get the other 2 pieces white meat. I told him I was not aware I had to pay an additional $1 to receive all 4 pieces of white meat but that it was cool, I just wanted to even things out. He personally goes and exchanges out the meat by takin the dark meat out and giving me the other 2 pieces. I say thank you and leave. I get home, open my box and see that both chicken breasts almost look dry rotted. If I saw my meat looking like this, I would never even put it on their plate or box. I have been in the management business for over 20 years, so that’s why I didn’t argue with anyone, I just wanted my order correct. Never argue with your good customers! Needless to say, my experience was terrible and I won’t be returning.

I wanted to update my review from 2020, this place has only gotten better with time. The food is fantastic, great service as always. This time we got the sweet Thai chili boneless wings, mild buffalo wings, fries and a chicken nugget kids meal. Also the house made ranch is an amazing addition to any of the types of chicken, so is the honey mustard. We have tried other local chicken places and they just don’t compare. Definitely be back.
