I love this place. The food is very good (for fast food), and the service I’ve gotten has been excellent. The last time I was there was November of 2025, so not that long ago.
I particularly like their chicken strips, potato wedges, and cole slaw. They’ve got some very tasty dipping sauces. If you’re into spicy, I highly recommend you try their yummy Mango Habanero sauce! You can’t go wrong here.
Many people do, I know, but most don’t realize this used to be a Foster Farms Chicken restaurant, owned and run by them. I ate there regularly back in the 1970’s and 1980’s, so I have a ton of fond memories of that.
The parking there can vary widely. During Christmas time, for example, finding parking can be difficult. Most times though, parking is plentiful. Go make some memories of your own.

I ordered a BBQ chicken wrap custom my way with BBQ sauce on it. Ok, I did not have the BBQ wrap I had a plan chicken wrap. Grrrr. Also, the The surrounding of the building was nasty looking in the area for which it should have been update. It cleaned it even smailed. Also, when I was walking around the building. I didn’t like my order. I ordered a barbecue wrap and didn’t get that at all. The coleslaw was good. That customer service could have been Better.

We got the 8pc meal for two and half of the chicken dipped in the Nashville sauce which was great!!! The plain chicken could be a bit dry so I recommend dipping in a sauce of your choice. Biscuits were soo delicious as well as the Cajun potato wedges! Super clean restaurant.

I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap. It Was disgusting because the chicken was charred and burnt so the whole wrap just tasted like burnt charred chicken. I called in and spoke to the general manager, Sarah. She assured me that I could come in whenever and have it remade and that she had my name written down in a book. I also kept my receipt just in case. When I tried to go in to get it replaced, Sarah was not working and the man working, I believe his name was Brandon, basically accused me of lying and told me that I could not get it replaced because it wasn’t within 48 hours when the manager Sarah never said anything about coming in within 48 hours. I live 30 minutes away so it’s not that easy for me to travel 30 minutes out of my way to get a damn wrap. Never felt so disrespected. Like I need to lie about a wrap to try to get a free lunch. Maybe don’t burn it in the first place.

20 years ago if I was anywhere near Modesto I would stop here and get a meal to eat and then take some home. Lately I found myself thinking of this place only to find out that Foster farms no longer owns it the people that took it over from Foster forums retired and there is now a new owner. I don’t like giving negative reviews but I feel I have to this time. The grease they cooked the chicken in is rancid they need to change it out of chicken breasts. It’s not what I expected or remember. And now it’s a clear conscience I can take it off my list of places to patronize. I’m sure the new owners are trying very hard but you have to remember change your grease regularly nothing makes food tastes worse then rancid grease.

Great experience! Saw they updated their restaurant inside on instagram so had to come check it out.
I ordered the 7 piece nuggets with spuds and got my sauces. The chicken was insanely good. I saw a review that the price per nugget is over priced but when I bit into the nugget it was extremely moist. It was cooked perfectly and they are large size nuggets. If you think McDonald’s size nuggets of course it seems offensive but they are much larger than that. The staff was very friendly as well. I haven’t been here in years but they just gained a repeat customer. Well done to the owners.

Every time I go to Chicken Barn, they forget something or mess up my order. About a month ago, I doordashed an order because I didn’t have my car. I get the order, and they had forgotten something for the 3rd time in a row. I decided to call and let them know because their prices have gotten SO high, plus they now upcharge for every little thing. The person that answered told me to come get it. I explained that I didnt have a car and thats why I doordashed it. He then puts a woman on the phone who tells me they didn’t charge me for the missed item, so they can’t help me. I look at my confirmation text, and it WAS on my order, and I DID pay for it. After I point this fact out, she got a total attitude, yelled something at me, and then hung up! I wouldn’t normally complain, and I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before, but this was completely over the top. I decided to email the owner of Chicken Barn, because as a business owner myself, I would want to know if my employee acted like this. I never heard from him or his wife.
I WILL NEVER, EVER EAT AT CHICKEN BARN AGAIN!

We used to eat here for years. The employees don’t listen correctly. For the price they should make sure everything is correct. Not to mention the portions are ridiculous for what they charge. Sad to see one of our favorite places going down hill. In this economy, I’m surprised they’re still open. I guess they just hire anybody now.

Cute little fried chicken place. Our chicken tasted good but was a little dry. Sides were good as well (biscuit and whipped potatoes with gravy).
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed how clean the dinning room was….pleasant surprise in the Central Valley fast food scene.
