Not my first time eating here. Chose the fish po-boy sandwich. It was very delicious. Fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It is a pleasure to sit down to a meal where tastes great. Even the little things were great. Love their take on tartar sauce. And, they definitely have the best iced tea of any establishment I have visited in all of the Carthage and surrounding areas. The best food in town for any price and their prices are very reasonable.

Hubby and I ate here this past Saturday. Our usual go to when in Carthage is Tex-Mex but we decided to give this place a try. And we are glad we did. I got the 4 piece chicken fingers with fries and cole slaw. Hubby got the 5 piece fish with fries and red beans and rice. We got our fountain drinks, took our seats and waited. We watched a few people coming in for pick up orders. That made us feel good because we knew nothing about this place. Our food came out, nice and hot. Cole slaw was good, nicely chilled and fresh. The French fries were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy and the seasoning was spot on. The “sauce” that came with it was flavorful, not spicy. And the bread that came with it….. I would have taken a dozen home with me, it was that good! Hubby said the fish was some of the best he has had….. crispy, seasoned well, and actually tasted like fish. The red beans and rice hit the mark for him, as well. Not overly seasoned but full of good flavor. It’s definitely a place we will go to again!

I am not a seafood person at all- but my husband wanted to try it, so I went with him. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken salad- and it was way above any expectations I had going in! The serving size was HUGE! It came with so many veggies and so much chicken. I didn’t regret going with grilled, it was juicy and flavored perfectly. I will definitely be back. The price was very fair for how much food there was. ( I forgot to take a picture of the food until I’d already eaten a portion. The plate was loaded when they brought it out!)
My husband enjoyed his fish- and I ate his roll. It was yummy as well- I think it was deep-fried. It tasted very similar to the Utah “scones” I grew up with, which is hard to find outside of Utah. This place is a great new gem for Carthage!

We are in town due to family illness and are leaving tomorrow for a couple weeks but we are so glad we found this place just wish it was 10 days ago when we got to town.
My sister had the Fish and Shrimp Combo and I had the Philly Cheesesteak and this is hand down the best I have ever had. Sister says it is worth staying a couple extra days to eat here again. Hate that we are having to come back to town very soon but so glad we found a great place to eat.
And the owner is super nice and a very hard working lady. Please do yourself a favor and try this place.

Hot. Fresh, Fast, & flavorful! I got the three fish & 3 shrimp. It came out quickly but it definitely came straight out of the fryer because it was too hot to eat right away. Super crispy & well seasoned, I’ll definitely be back. The red beans had a nice smokey flavor & the tarter sauce is impressive.

First off, the fish and shrimp is delicious. The reason for the 3 stars is because our beans and rice were spoiled. I did call and inform them. Lastly, I questioned the prices while ordering. The menu board shows cheaper prices than what is being rang up at the computer. The price you see on the menu is the price you should pay. The menu board should be updated before the computer prices.

Any time I come to Carthage I have to stop by Chick-O-Fish. They’re always so quick with the orders. Their single portions are always more than enough to share. Their fries are seasoned to perfection and the fish is always crisp, hot, snd fresh.

Best kept secret. Red beans and rice best I’ve ever had. Fish is crisp white meat awesome flavor. Chicken strips juicy and just as flavorful. Literally the best place around for fish or chicken strips. Taste, price and quantity best in town.
