The Baseline
The Baseline: For a Chick-filet the chicken must be well prepared, the sides must be substantial/good, and the service must be friendly and helpful.
Food: The original chicken sandwich is always awesome here and the waffle fries are always crispy. We ordered the Cobb salad with crispy chicken and a 30 piece chicken nuggets which were also very good.
Service: I had a great interaction with a team member, Dylan, who was very helpful and polite. Dylan and his team got my mobile order right.
Ambiance: This is probably the best Chick-filet drive thru I have ever been to because it was a festive holiday tunnel of lights. Dylan and his team put them up and made it a great drive-thru experience. It really added to my holiday this year and it was a great way to make the Marina del Rey Chick-filet a stand out.

During our first visit to the Chick-fil-A in Marina del Rey, we experienced truly exceptional service that deserves recognition. While waiting in line, a team member named Jaffer approached my six-year-old son and me. He engaged my son in a warm, age-appropriate, and genuine conversation about Pokémon, even taking the time to show him a Pokémon binder he had with him. This small but intentional act immediately created a welcoming and positive experience for our family.
Jaffer demonstrated outstanding customer service, emotional intelligence, and brand ambassadorship. He was gracious, attentive, and encouraging, and he made my child feel valued and heard—something that leaves a lasting impression on both children and parents. He exemplified Chick-fil-A’s commitment to hospitality, care, and community connection, going far beyond transactional service.
His professionalism, kindness, and proactive engagement directly influenced our decision to return and continue supporting this location. While I am typically cautious about offering fast food to my children, the experience Jaffer created made us feel confident and welcomed, and it reinforced why Chick-fil-A stands apart from others in the industry.
Customer service at this level is increasingly rare, and Jaffer represents the very best of what Chick-fil-A stands for. He is a clear example of a team member who elevates the guest experience, strengthens brand loyalty, and positively reflects corporate values in real time. I sincerely hope leadership recognizes and rewards Jaffer for his exceptional work, as employees like him are invaluable assets to the organization.

Food is usually terrific. Taste awesome. Great seasoning and tasty fries with a good crunch.
Now the attitude of about 30% of the employees. That sucks.

I got the spicy breakfast biscuit & added an egg with an upcharge. It was really delicious. I also got a large Sunjoy. The staff is extremely friendly & they make sure they have your order correct before you pay at the window.

Order number: 5475659 I placed my order on Christmas Eve and quickly drove there, but they said they couldn’t fulfill my order. However, I didn’t receive a refund. When I went back a day or two later, they told me to request a refund through the app and to contact customer service, which is almost impossible through their app. When I suggested they simply remake the menu item I had already paid for and give it to me now, they refused again. I had to place and pay for the order again. It was just a single meal. Why should I have to go through all this trouble for a service I paid for but didn’t receive? Also, when I check their app, it says: “For orders placed with your Chick-fil-A One® account through the Chick-fil-A® App or online, refunds and recovery must be handled by the restaurant where you placed your order. Please visit or contact the restaurant where you placed your order directly. Recovery options may vary and are at the discretion of each Restaurant.”

This Chick-Fil-A is so professional and friendly. I am actually a vegetarian, but sometimes I take my dog there on a special occasion for a kids meal with the grilled chicken and let her eat a couple of the fries too! They Are very accommodating and let you get an ice cream cone instead of a kids toy and also give out some milk bones! They are always very professional.

We made the mistake of assuming this was dine in so had to carry it home first. Even slightly cold it was yum! Visiting from Australia and this was one of our first stops! The diet lemonade is so good! We had the chicken strips, spicy deluxe burger, waffle fries, Mac & cheese, zesty buffalo sauce & chick-fil-a sauce

For reference my home Chick-fil-A is in the South Bay and have always enjoyed the food and appreciate the staff for their genuine service. Employees at this location however often discriminate towards minorities. I’ve been told by others, and I myself have experienced it a number of times. Patrons should not feel like their pockets are sized up based on their looks, ethnicity, or jobs, as if their money isn’t good there. I work in the area, and from time to time I get a craving, so I’ve stopped and can recall many instances in which the employees, particularly those in the drive-thru taking orders, have been dismissive and passive aggressive. This last visit the drive thru attendant rushed my order, asking the next question before I was done saying what I wanted; mind you that I’ve only stopped there when there is no line as well as letting me know that there will be an upcharge for estra bacon, as if I already didn’t know. Also no napkins were provided. Not to be petty, but it’s the principle that counts. For instance, there was a time that they were offering samples of the pretzel chicken sandwich and skipped me for whatever reason, not that I wanted it but something told me I was judged because I am a delivery driver although I’ve never picked up an order from there because I don’t particularly do restaurant food delivery although my previous car stated it. Some of the workers there are entitled and really need to learn to show everybody respect regardless of who they are. This is a franchised business and not to bring religion into this but as unapologetic your company is about your core values; some of these employees are a poor representation of biblical Christian values.

The outdoor dining area was very nice. There isn’t enough space for indoor dining here, but the tables still had fresh flowers and adequate shade. Since the weather is usually nice here, I almost didn’t miss the usual dining room that you would find at a Chick-fil-A.
