Chicho’s never misses. Fresh, flavorful tacos on soft corn tortillas with cilantro, onions, and the perfect squeeze of lime. The green sauce was so good, and the taquitos were crispy and delicious. Chips, salsa, and glass bottle coke sealed the deal.

My second time trying Chicho’s Cocina. Ordered via
Grubhub and it was a solid experience from start to finish. The food arrived faster than expected and everything was still hot, which is always a good first impression.

I ordered one of their bowls and it was loaded. Grilled chicken marinated and coated in their cilantro lime sauce over white rice and black beans, with lettuce, esquites which is that creamy Mexican corn, pickled red onions, white onions, cilantro, their homemade jalapeño avocado sauce, and cotija cheese. There was a lot going on in the best way possible. The flavors were well balanced with a nice mix of spicy, savory, creamy, a little sweetness, and some texture from the fresh toppings.

Portion size was filling and the ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtfully put together. Overall, this was a very good bowl and a great option if you want something flavorful that still feels put together.

I would definitely order from here again and would recommend giving it a try.

The food here is authentic, fresh and delicious. Their tacos and bowls are excellent. Seating is limited (but there is always a free table) but the food travels well.

In fairness, I’d probably give Chicho’s a 3.5 if I could. The restaurant is small, but super cute. I loved the interior sign – “all you need is love & tacos.” The staff was friendly and helpful. So on to the food – I ordered Shrimp Tacos. Overall the tacos were good, but could be great. I thought the Mexican corn on the tacos was a really nice and cool addition. The chipotle slaw was ok, but could have had more chipotle kick, and honestly between the creamy corn and a creamy slaw, it was way too creamy. The diced onions on top were a little too big for my liking. I was disappointed by the shrimp as they seemed to be pre-made (frozen) popcorn shrimp. I was also disappointed that they only used one tortilla per taco. With corn tortillas, I am accustomed to have double tortillas, especially as full as the tacos were. It became a little challenging to eat the tacos. I am not sure if I would go out of my way to visit Chicho’s again, but glad I tried them. Other notes: I had no issue parking, but it is street parking.

Had been eyeing this spot since it opened (just before the pandemic) to try the tacos and support a local biz. VERY SATISFIED to get my taco fix at Chichos. Got a good recommendation from helpful staff member to try the fried beef tacos ($10 for three) and was well fed with the good portion and REALLY IMPRESSED by the two salsas they offer (green and pineapple habañero), a nice balance of mild and hot n fruity Looking forward to try other menu items but might be hard to not order the same thing again. Yum!!

3.5 stars but food is solid compared to other local options. I will be back. More authentic than Bar Taco and Bodega but same pricing without the ambiance. Some seating but more of a take out spot (e.g., plastic silverware only). I love their barbacoa and carnitas tacos. I’ve previously had their fried shrimp tacos but was not a fan. The tortilla and creamy cole slaw were on point but the shrimp was your basic supermarket breaded frozen shrimps. More breading then shrimp. Solid guacamole and chips. The horchata is okay – too sweet for my taste. Not a fan of the Loco Elote but l don’t like Tajin chili powder. If you like it, you may enjoy it.

Ordered via uber eats. It’s…. fine, if a bit dry. Burrito is 5.5 inches long which is definitely on the small side. $15 burrito and $8 churros. Plus $10000000 in uber eats add on fees for delivery….$35 all in for delivered lunch. Not cheap. I might try them again but definitely not via delivery. Far more likely to visit Casa Villa on the post road…$10 burritos not $15.
