Sat and served quickly despite it being a pretty full night. Very generous portions. Food that should be spicy was actually spicy.
Only nitpick — I’d prefer a less lean burger patty since it’s cooked well.

Went during happy hour after hiking around Mt. Hood. My server seemed stressed, but still managed to provide excellent service. The food however was kind of bland. The rice and beans are unauthentic and tasted like they came from a can. For my entree, I got the cheese cooked quesobirria. The birria was savory and tasted great, but the cheese on the outside of the tortilla tasted burnt. I also got a Jalepeño margarita that was very stiff and delicious. Although the portions were huge, the restaurant is still pretty expensive. The atmosphere could have been better as well. The heated patio was great, but the radio was playing English pop music, rather than the authentic Mexican music you’d find at other Cantinas. The restaurant is exactly what you’d expect for a gentrified Mexican restaurant

Here on meditative vacation from a large city. We love Mexican food! Five alarm taco great! Shrimp enchilada, shrimp and carne asada enchilada, avocado ranch burger and the chili rellano plate. Extremely different from anywhere else. In the same return, absolutely delicious. Huge portions had to take three dishes home. Everything was great. Server seem to be all over the place and it was slow and played a little bit too much on the flirty which offended my husband. I laughed about it cuz I’m a server from years ago but he was offended. Other than that everything was delicious and I really enjoyed it. Without having alcohol and it was basically just entrees. We paid just over $100. Not too bad.

Fun, lively atmosphere. Staff are simultaneously laid back and upbeat. Tried the guacamole to order. It needed a bit more lime (easy fix). My husband really enjoyed it. I thought it a bit too “chunky”. He had a trio of tacos os and the Shrimp Matcha was the highlight of his plate. I had a chicken street taco which had a generous portion of juicy shredded chicken. I also tried the Diablo because I like it spicy and it delivered! Great heat, but too oily for me to order again. Overall, very tasty casual meal in an inviting space. Will come again!

Their nachos with their different kinds of salsas is a must try. Their food was ok. Not your typical Mexican food. Rice is definitely not your typical. But their drinks were good as well. Service was great.

Attend this added note, set fair and kindly:

This proved a most welcome discovery upon the road to Mount Hood, and quickly became my chosen house for Mexican fare along the way. It might have worn five stars proudly, had it not been for the shredded chicken, which offended me greatly. I beg the kitchen, in all kindness, to cease serving that particular offering to well meaning folk. Some things are better retired with dignity.

The guacamole is truly good, made as it ought to be, and the margaritas hold their own, which at that price they most certainly should. The space itself is generous and well suited for families, with room enough for children to sit, move, and remain content.

It must also be said that the staff are most welcoming and the atmosphere very friendly, adding greatly to the ease of the visit. One final word to those in charge. Consider replacing whatever spectacle currently loops upon the television, for it is a parade of nonsense that distracts more than it delights. Mend that small folly, and this stop may yet rise closer to perfection.

Great atmosphere as far as restaurants go up here. Food is fine. Looks good. This last time I was at the bar I left after ten minutes of waiting for a drink. No one talked to me. Crazy. If you just say I’m busy I’ll be with you when I can and then check in I’ll stay. Life long restaurant worker.

The most bland rice and beans we’ve ever tasted. Big portions but the food is very mid and the service was slow and weird. We had to get silverware ourselves and weren’t brought water for 15 minutes. Service was super slow and it didn’t even seem that busy. The food itself was bland. We got the chipotle cream enchiladas and the beans and rice tasted old. Also marg pitchers were $75-$105 which is INSANE. Don’t stop by if you’re visiting nearby lake or campgrounds.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat on a road trip and it didn’t disappoint. We made it in time for happy hour which allowed us to get some great prices on the poblano cheese and bean dip and a skinny burrito. The braised beef in the burrito was excellent and shreddy. The avocado sauce was a bit smoky and full of flavor. I highly recommend stopping in.

I’ve eaten my fair share of Mexican cuisine. From LA, NY, SF, OAK, SEA, MIA, CHI, NO, SAC, and of course POR. This place takes the reigns as one of the best. Not only was the quality amazing, but the portions Service was amazing and we were VERY obnoxious after our snowboarding trip. I will be returning again!
