Located in a house built in 1933 in downtown Las Vegas, Chicago Joe’s has been serving old world Sicilian style food since 1975. The family cookbook has 3 generations of recipes starting with Joe’s Nonna. With only 14 tables, lace curtains, and a fireplace you feel like you are in HER house!!!
Long-standing mainstay for hearty, homestyle Italian cooking in a cozy, unpretentious setting.

We came here after wanting to try it for a while. We ordered a caraffe of their house red wine, and thought it was nice. We started with the cheesy garlic bread and baked artichoke for appetizers. The cheesy garlic bread was alright. I didn’t care for the baked artichoke, but someone else had wanted to try it in our party. We had 7 people in our party, so we shared it. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, which was very good. It was salty though. My husband had the chicken parmesan. He said it was alright. Someone else who had it in our party thought it was a little dry. The chicken is not fully breaded, so it’s a different looking chicken parmesan than I’ve seen before with only breading on the top. The salad with creamy garlic dressing wasn’t great as the lettuce seemed a bit soggy. My sister-in-law had the soup and she said it reminded her of bean dip. She said she liked bean dip, but not sure that’s how it’s supposed to taste. We ordered dessert. The cannoli was decent. I took a bite and my husband ate the rest. I tried the spumoni that my sister-in-law ordered, which is a large slice of ice cream pie, not a scoop of ice cream. We did not know that, but it was a pleasant surprise. We also had the regular cheesecake with raspberry sauce. My mother-in-law ate that, but sent it back as it was a bit cold like partially frozen. I took a couple big bites of that and it was realy good, just a bit frozen in the middle. The server was great. No complaints there aside from needing to ask for napkins. Their linens didn’t arrive until after we were sat. There is parking in the back, which was convenient. The building is old and had a nostalgic feel, so I’m glad for the experience.

This place is a hidden Las Vegas hidden gem in the art district. The food is amazing and delicious their lasagna portions are filling, and the desserts don’t disappoint. I have gone here on two separate occasions and both times I was impressed. Parking is limited in their parking lot and reservations are recommended, not sure if they are necessary.

Coming from Italy, I had high expectations for the quality and portion sizes of the food. Excellence would best describe everything about this place. The atmosphere was relaxing and very homie with wonderful mood lighting and a beautiful fireplace, unlit as it was. Our server, Randy, was personable from the get go and had our table cackling from the moment we sat down. The lasagna was unlike any I have ever had with a portion size to match. The cherry on top was the decadent desserts. We got the tiramisu and limoncello cake and they did NOT disappoint. They were some of the best desserts that I’ve had the pleasure of gracing my tastebuds with. All in all, 10/10 experience and will be going back every time I come to Vegas.

Food was amazing. Got the chicken parm. One of the better red sauces I’ve had in my life. Food not too expensive at all especially for the quality. Darren is the poster boy for what a good waiter should be. Will absolutely be back!

I have driven past this place so many times and always been intrigued by its humble exterior. Tonight we finally had the opportunity to swing by and it was well worth the wait! Our server was a lovely individual from Boston with a rich history in Las Vegas who really went above and beyond for our dinner experience. The food was delicious (lasagna gets 10/10), and the wine bottles were such a reasonable price! We had a wonderful time at this historic restaurant (why didn’t y’all have a 50th party??! It’s not too late!) and can’t wait to come back again.

I was told to check this place out and I do not know what I did to deserve the recommendation. Do yourself a favor and go to Esther’s Kitchen instead. I think the only reason it gets such high marks is because of its location to the court/business offices nearby.
Its Italian food that knows what it is. But done with one arm tied behind their back. Stuffed artichoke was terrible, basically an artichoke covered with bread crumbs dumped on top. The calamari was terrible, its not even breaded, just tossed in a sauce and warmed up in it – FYI they don’t have fryer’s. The bread was great, but even that they don’t make, they get from the bakery down the road. The pasta was terrible, not even house made. Only thing they make in house was the sauce and it was def not grandma sunday….more like red water and basil/oregano tossed in. Even their house salad was like something from a Family Guy skit – random large uncut vegetables tossed with some basic torn iceburg lettuce in a small bowl.
The setting alone was off putting, its in a converted house, which is kinda quaint but when you sitting in a house dining room with cramped tables shoved in, you not only hear your neighbors, you can basically eat off their plates.
Service was great, but everything else, yea, I will not go again. I would rather go to Olive Garden then endure this culinary slop.

Great little house restaurant. Very cozy and quaint place to enjoy a great Italian meal.
I had the chicken marsala, which was great 8/10 and my wife had the chicken parmesan, which was amazing 9.5/10. Very reasonably priced and service was on point. If you bring cash you don’t get hit with a 4% credit card up charge. Overall, fantastic place to eat and cheaper than a comparable place and this place has better food.

Lasagna was good. Other meals were ok. The bathrooms were filthy. The place is small. Would recommend setting a reservation. Service was good. A little on the expensive side. They only have beer or wine, no liquor. The ravioli and the pink sauce I could have easily made at home, and maybe better.

Love this restaurant. Very cozy with an amazing staff that made you fell like family. My husband and I loved the food as I had the lasagna and he had the fresh made fettuccine Alfredo. I would highly commend Chicago Joe’s to anyone!

The salad with the creamy garlic dressing was delicious, and the lasagna was very good. I didn’t like the fettuccine alfredo and the waiter was very gracious in finding me something else I might like better. He went above and beyond!
