TL;DR: This is a hidden gem in Chinatown! Authentic, old fashioned massive portion of Cheung fun for an amazing price! You won’t be disappointed if you check it out!

We stumbled on this place while checking out Chinatown in Oahu.
This is not a restaurant, this is a Cheung fun factory, they make the fresh rice rolls wholesale for other restaurants!
We made soup noodles out of their plain noodles (look fun) it was incredibly fresh and delicious. The noodles held their shape, they are made in the very old fashioned Cantonese way!
We really appreciate the attention to authenticity, much better than all of the Chinatowns in other parts of the world that we have visited!
We loved our first visit so much, we returned to buy 2 char siu and 1 ha mi Cheung fun!
They are massive and for the price, it’s an insane deal! They’re tasty, they’re fresh , they have the perfect bouncy texture! They did have small packets of soy sauce to eat with it as well!
It’s just like the old fashioned, dim sum restaurant in Asia.
I don’t think you can find this anywhere else!
This is a hidden gem, and we hope they will continue to be here for a long time!

I bought 5 rolls of char siu look fun. The lady, with dirty gloves, shoved all 5 in a tiny bag and the noodles were falling apart as she stuffed it in the bag. She used those same gloves to collect my money. As she assisted the customer behind me, she used the same gloves. My bag was oily from her handling the look fun.
I can’t believe how down hill this place went. I was brought up buying respectable look fun and they were less than $1. Plus, it used to be wrapped in saran wrap then in the pink paper…not shoved in a tiny bag, more char siu and the workers used to take pride..
This made me sad

Walking and exploring around Chinatown Sunday morning, and I decided to get in and see what they were selling here…Wow they are very busy it should be good I thought, I must try something! They were noodles!! They were SO fresh and really really good, cheap and most of them were sold out early morning. I tried the Look Fun one, the only one available, no sauce to dip in like soy sauce or something, but I love it! I had to stop eating them…I was on my way to eat Chinese Dim Sum at Golden Palace.

The rice roll is fresh, tasty and MASSIVE for 3 dollars. We got the mushroom one and shared it between two people with a little soy sauce. There’s no seating, it’s a grab and go place.

Great look funn rolls, char siu, shrimp, mushroom, and plain. Price has gone up in recent years but their rolls are very large.

Come when it’s busy. This is a look fun factory. Here on a Monday at 7:10 am. Was told 20 minutes. It is now 8:00. I’m waiting in front of the counter. Will update this review after I’ve eaten some.

Spotted their rice rolls and an intense-looking production line behind the counter while walking by, and decided to pick up a single roll to have for breakfast. What a good spontaneous move! *pats self on back* I wanted to try the mushroom version, but there was only char siu so I took that happily. A single rice roll (<$3 iirc) is actually a very long roll folded into a U shape so there is a ton of fresh noodle to enjoy!

I got an extra soy sauce packet with my Maguro Brothers’ chirashi bowl and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast of fresh fish and rice roll while leaning against the side of the building. 100% would recommend 🙂 The noodle was springy and had a much cleaner, fresher flavor than the big, plastic-wrapped styrofoam trays you normally get at the market. A bit of saltiness from the soy, the fresh rice flavor, and tiny bits of char siu here and there – perfect and so cheap.

Came here because I saw them feature on Eaters. I like that their noodles are freshly made. They literally ground the rice to then add their Hawaiian water to make a milk like consistent. For me that’s good from scratch. However they lost their other start solo because there is just not enough filling for their mushroom and noodle rolls. A little extra would have been nice. Also I don’t like that they only offer soy sauce package. They should have in house soy sauce like how they offer them at dim sum restaurants.

They’re one of the oldest shops in Chinatown. There look fun noodles are fantastic. You need to acquire a taste for bland food. However it is the best. You go try and tell me how you liked it.
