We visited on their soft-open night. We met the owner Pravine and manager Camillo of this new restaurant along with our server Camille. We were treated like family! We had well made cocktails, garlic naan (bread) that just melted in our mouths, and the butter chicken, sheekh kabob, chicken trio and lemon rice. All fantastic and fresh. We will be going back regularly to this wonderful new restaurant!!!

I wish I took some pictures of the food to include with my review but I just got home and had to write a review about this new gem

Food: 5/5

Chickpea & Spinach Chaat –
We started with the kale and spinach chaat. Typically I don’t order this as it comes out as as soggy mash of ingredients at most Indian restaurants. Not here! It had a wonderfully crispy crust and the flavors of everything went so well together it was the absolute perfect starter. Not too heavy but full of flavor

Butter Chicken-
This is the first time a butter chicken at a restaurant can compare to what I make at home. Absolutely spectacular and different in every way from any other butter chicken I’ve had. Super deep tomato flavor and very soft and juicy chicken not that rubbery stuff you get at other Indian spots

Short rib korma-
Whoa now, beef at an Indian restaurant? Blew away expectations this was unbelievably good. The korma sauce compliments the short rib in a way that I couldn’t have even imagined. Mix that with the garlic naan fresh from their oven and it’s pure nirvana.

Service: 5/5

The staff seemed to all be in the best mood which elevated the whole vibe of the restaurant. Everyone there was quite attentive and took serious people’s opinions about the food. The restaurant was quite busy and I could hear every table praising the food endlessly including us.

Overall: 5/5

I will 100% be coming back here often. The food absolutely blew me away. Don’t sleep on this place, you won’t regret it.

Great addition to the downtown area to add some new cuisine. It seems like all of the new places in the area are Mediterranean so it’s great to have an excellent Indian food option. We sat at the bar where Evan was fabulous! He runs the cocktail program which is excellent and interesting – not just your basic list with every bar ingredient made in house. The food is more traditional Indian with the best garlic Naan bread we have ever tried. The trio chicken was also outstanding and the sauce on the butter chicken was excellent – not your basic Chicken Masala sauce you get at most Indian places in the USA. The Bar is on the small side but a great vibe overall. Oh, and they have a great happy hour until 6 if I remember correctly!

My husband, our friends and I had an amazing experience at Chhauka — truly some of the best Indian food we’ve had. The flavors were authentic, rich, and made with real love. The mushroom appetizer was absolutely delicious, the kebabs my friends ordered were exquisite, and the tadka dal tasted just like homemade. You can genuinely taste and smell the authenticity in every dish.

Kamilo, the manager, was incredibly kind, attentive, interactive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The owner, Parveen Mascarenhas is friendly, experienced, and actively involved in the restaurant, which really shows in the quality and atmosphere. We felt such a warm, positive energy from everyone working there. Just overall a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

Top notch. Service and food was great. The only thing that lacks is the alcohol menu. Regardless the service was great and the food was even better. We had the cauliflower appetizer, jackfruit, entrée, garlic naan, and lamb kebabs. 100% would order again.

I recently visited with my wife, and while the food showed promise, my overall experience was mixed.

We arrived on a Friday evening without a reservation. Despite numerous vacant tables, the hostess informed us of a 30-minute wait. It was quite cold in West Palm Beach that night and being forced to wait outside for 25 minutes felt unnecessary given the apparent availability. Upon returning, the same tables were still unoccupied, which made the initial inconvenience feel avoidable and frustrating.

Regarding the ambiance, the restaurant is nicely decorated, but the layout is cramped. The tables are positioned far too close together, and the music volume was excessive, making comfortable conversation nearly impossible. As the venue filled up, the combination of the acoustics, loud music, and patrons speaking over it created an overwhelming and unpleasant atmosphere.

While the food and service were both good, I found myself wanting to leave as soon as possible due to the sensory overload. It is a shame, as a more tranquil environment would have allowed me to enjoy the meal much more. I strongly suggest lowering the music volume and opting for a more subtle genre to encourage a relaxed dining experience. Success in the restaurant industry depends as much on the atmosphere as it does on the kitchen; unfortunately, this visit did not meet that standard. I wish the business success, but I hope these elements are addressed.

We were very excited about a new Indian place in downtown, the atmosphere is nice a bit too dim. The food really not properly made, only thing I liked was the spinach chat and lamb biriyani, the jackfruit biriyani, Chicken biriyani didn’t taste anything like Biriyani, the paneer dishes were not balanced. They really need to work on cooking and flavor.
