Visited this restaurant for breakfast this morning as a group of four, and overall it was a pleasant experience.

Our table ordered a variety of breakfast items, including Eggs Benedict, pancakes, omelette with toast, a breakfast bagel sandwich, crispy breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit, and coffee. The presentation of the food was clean and inviting, and portions were generous.

The Eggs Benedict was well-prepared, with nicely poached eggs and a smooth hollandaise. The pancakes were fluffy and filling, paired well with butter and fruit on the side. The omelette was cooked evenly and served with toast, breakfast potatoes, and fresh fruit, making it a satisfying and balanced plate. The breakfast bagel sandwich was hearty and flavorful, especially enjoyable with the smoked salmon.

The breakfast potatoes were consistently crispy and paired well with all dishes. Coffee was hot, smooth, and refilled promptly, which added to the overall comfort of the meal.

Service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed—ideal for a casual breakfast with family or friends. The restaurant was moderately busy, but service remained efficient.

Overall, a solid breakfast spot with good food, generous portions, and a comfortable setting. We would consider returning again for a relaxed morning meal.

This restaurant is located attached to a hotel. Parking can be difficult. It is a very busy spot. Once seated we were well looked after. Our meals were brought quickly. The crepes had a nice flavour but were rubbery. The eggs were overcooked and unseasoned. The bacon was nice as were the sausages. The best part were the potato slices that were cooked to perfection. The dining area where we were seated was formulaic and “cafeteriaesque” lacking any ambiance. Plenty of hype for this restaurant and somewhat worth the visit though average.

OMG! If you are looking for a breakfast place in Canmore you need to try this place!! It was so delicious. I had the Benny combo with Nutella and banana crepes, my boyfriend had the traditional breakfast adding lots of eggs and the crepes as well. Lots of food! We were fed till 4 pm it was so amazing and the price is pretty good for everything we got we found!
Parking is super easy, inside wasn’t loud, it was very clean and nice.

Nice space that feels intimate and has great views. Service was excellent. In house hollandaise was delicious although the benny could have used more smoked meat. Pancakes and breakfast poutine were also excellent. Can see why it’s been around for decades.

We had the avocado toast and through Quebec Combo. The Avocado toast was very good while the Quebec Combo seemed like an odd combination. The eggs were good placed atop one very thin slice of ham (so thing you couldn’t stick you fork in it), one sausage link, 2 slices of bacon, with toast(we had sourdough which was slightly overloaded and quite hard). The beans were good you could taste the ingredients but a touch more seasoning would have gone a long way. The pate was ok, on the bland side but not a negative by any means. Service was great had a nice guy helping us.

Service and food both wonderful! I love that they have a crepe/eggs bendict combo! I had the apple, brie and ham crepes with one ham, asparagus and Swiss cheese eggs Benedict. So delicious! It came with crispy fried, thinly sliced potatoes and a variety of fresh fruit. My husband also enjoyed his strawberry/Nutella crepes and his traditional Benedict. Trés bien!
Food came fast and service was good and friendly. Beautiful mountain views from our table by the window.

We recently tried Chez François in Canmore and unfortunately found the food a bit underwhelming. The dishes looked nice, but the flavors were quite mild. The fruits on the side seemed more for presentation than anything else. We ordered the bene and crepe combo and were disappointed with how light the hollandaise sauce tasted. The muffin on the benedict also had a slightly burnt taste.

That said, the potatoes on the side were good as well as the montreal smoked meat, and our server was very kind and accommodating, which we appreciated.

We visited on a long weekend morning, arriving right at 9 a.m. to avoid the rush. As expected, the front section was already full, so we were guided to the back. Interestingly, although there were still plenty of open tables in that area, the two of us—two Asian women—were seated at the smallest two-person table available. Moments later, a Western couple who arrived after us were seated quite comfortably at a four-person window table. Let’s just say that didn’t go unnoticed.

That said, our server was lovely—attentive and kind—and the eggs Benedict were excellent. It’s still one of the best brunch spots in Canmore, and I truly hope that was just an off day — because it’s such a good place, and I’d love to come back again.

Great long time restaurant in Canmore. Owner is friendly. Service is quick. Food is very tasty. Ordered the traditional egg benedict. It came with thin cut fried potatoes and a selection of sliced fruit. Everything was deliscious. Ordered a chai latte. Loved it. Highly recommend this restaurant.
