The italian sammy was tasty. My french toast was good but the cappuccino was just ok. Servers were friendly.

Visited this restaurant during our trip to Costa Rica Nov 9-13, 2023. We found this cozy restaurant thru a search looking for breakfast/brunch meals. We ordered a Mimosa , a Croquet Madame Paris, and a 2-egg Omelette with salmon, onion, cheese and a tomato salad. The flavors were great as were the portions. We were there during a rather busy time, and service was still timely and personal. Very nice restaurant.

The quiche is actually quite good!

Amazing selections of fine desserts!

This place is great for brunch. It has a nice atmosphere. Lots of desserts to choose from! Coffee is not to bad. People love their French toast, I prefer the eggs Benedict.

Being always on the prowl for good French bakeries everywhere I travel, I visited this restaurant hoping to be awed, but was sorely disappointed.
The almond croissants were hard and rubbery. We also had a waffle dish with eggs, bacon, and other sides. The bacon was nice and crispy and the eggs were properly cooked to order. The waffle, however, was average in taste. Also, though I don’t know how it compares to others, I thought it was a bit pricey (e.g., $6.50 for the croissant).
Later, upon mentioning the disappointing visit to family who live in Escazu, it was obvious the restaurant wasn’t held in high regard, and they immediately recommended a different one to try!

This is a hidden french bakery shop in escazu that you will not even know it is there if you don’t look twice. It has small entrance but plenty of parking on the side of it and has plenty of tatsy pastries and desserts for you to try. They also do serve meals and coffee there so it will be perfect to take a date (highly recommended) or a your mother for her b-day. It is not the cheapest place around but it is well worth the money and much better quality than spoon.
