I stopped by Chez Alice Patisserie in Lambertville last Saturday during the Christmas holidays, and it was the ideal spot to escape the festive bustle of the town. The streets were lively with holiday shoppers, but stepping inside felt like entering a charming Parisian café airy and bright, with colorful macarons lining the cases like jewels and the sweet scent of fresh pastries in the air. The cozy seating and elegant decor made it a perfect place to linger over coffee and treats.

The menu focuses on authentic French-inspired baked goods, breakfast items, light lunch options like quiches, salads, and sandwiches, plus an incredible selection of pastries that changes with the seasons. I started with a warm quiche, which was flaky and perfectly savory, filled with high-quality ingredients that made it feel hearty yet light on a chilly day. Then I couldn’t resist trying a few pastries: the buttery croissant was incredibly flaky and fresh, and the macarons were spot-on & that weren’t overly sweet.

For something more indulgent, I shared an éclair, with its glossy chocolate topping and creamy custard inside, and finished with a slice of one of their signature cakes (the mango mousse was calling my name that day layers of soft vanilla sponge and bright, tropical mousse). Everything tasted refined and made in-house, highlighting the skill of their chef.

The whole experience was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly service that let you take your time browsing the display cases or enjoying your selections. Visiting during the holidays added a magical touch the powdered sugar-dusted treats felt like a snowy Parisian winter wonderland. Chez Alice is unpretentious yet exceptional, the kind of spot you’ll crave returning to for a quick coffee and croissant or a leisurely afternoon tea. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Lambertville

I went there today for a quick snack on a day out. The atmosphere was immaculate, the classic tea service was unexpected. The almond croissant was so good we had to get one to go. Then we got a bunch more stuff as well. The food looked amazing so we had to get Boston Cream pie Cheese cake and this black cherry Black Forest cake. Ok that’s probably not the name but just look at it. It’s gorgeous and delicious!

A nice, clean and popular cafe in the heart of Lambertville NJ. Since this little town is a tourist hot spot, and this cafe is right in the town center, there is no shortage of tourists coming in for food, coffee and other beverages. Nice and clean inside, friendly service. Although during some of the busier times of the year, the waiting line can be quite long. But it’s worth checking out this place.

Lambertville favorite! Sunlit cafe offers exquisite pastries, aromatic tea, and incomparable high tea experience!

My sister and I had the pleasure of experiencing the L’Opera Tea Time for her birthday weekend. Reservations are required for tea time and everything was fresh and ready when we arrived. The variety of tea selection was impressive with ability to smell the tea leaves prior to selection. The table was set delicately and positioned beside the window with river views. The staff was friendly, attentive, and dedicated to providing us with a lovely experience.

The selection of savory sandwiches were delicious with the egg salad mini eclair and turkey and brie being favorites. The sweet treats were visually stunning but even tastier than they looked. The savory scones were fantastic and the tea-infused bons bons a perfect finale to our tea.

Besides their tea time, their lattes are a delicious start to the day with a stroll down the river path and the gift shops has a delightful selection of Parisian-themed items, perfect for gift-giving. I’ll continue to frequent Chez Alice when visiting Lambertville and can’t wait to try the Versailles tea time.

Chez Alice

Chez Alice is hands down one of the best spots in New Hope for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for charming, French-inspired ambiance. The pastries are not only delicious but beautifully decorated—truly little works of art. It’s such a cute and cozy place that I find myself stopping by almost every time I’m in town.

Their focaccia is also nice —light, flavorful, and a perfect savory balance to all the sweet treats. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and croissant or just soaking in the Parisian vibe, Chez Alice never disappoints. One of my favorite spots, always worth the visit!

Good vibes and interesting selection of patisserie dishes. I got the Ferrero Rocher one and was very disappointed. It’s a basic cake wrapped with some basic hazelnut chocolate and topped with fancy crème. It looks great until you actually take a bite. I’d much prefer buying a few pieces of the candy at the store

Attracted by the name and the window display I went inside and admiring the beautiful and artistic interior. Bought macaroons and bread and smoked salmon croissant just to try. They’re good, but not very impressive. The server was polite, but cold. They need a cheerful staff, it’ll be a great value for such a beautiful place. A real pity.

It’s a cute little cafe. Atmosphere is fantastic. Nice ambient music that isn’t too loud. There sandwiches are really good. The caveat is the cakes look better than they taste. If they can improve on their cakes a little bit it would be 5 stars.

Lambertville is a small town in NJ which I happened to visit with a friend as an outing. It felt like a small American town sufficient in its self.

It was a perfect weather and after lunch we decided to go for desserts.

This is a perfect place to give us Europe feeling. Their displays are pretty catchy and you can end up shopping to get Paris feel.

The deserts are of varied varieties and they r pretty delicious .

They also had disposables for to go and silverware if we want to dine in. I like this approach which will take care of environment.

Tiramisu and flan were amazing !
