Staff is friendly, Tori was our waitress. She advised us that it was a 35 minute wait, although it turned out to be longer because there was a party of ten who got their order in after us as well as the couple sitting behind us. It’s been 45 minutes and now our server said that they were going to plate it up. So we’ll see how many more minutes that is. My wife got her food first and I’m still waiting for mine, only arrived 5 minutes after .The cornbread was made with real cornmeal and was good. The best part of the meal was the fish, shrimp and oysters. Really good. We also got an order to go for the next day’s meal and the greens were really salty. I could not eat them. The oxtails were good but they forgot to put my rice that I ordered extra in the meal. Also the chicken was good but the sides were bland like the macaroni and cheese. No taste at all. You have to try it for yourself. However, we will not be going there again. We much prefer the old Che Soul and definitely love Aunt Bill’s which took over their location.
Oh and I forgot the first order of my mac and cheese was cold so they had to take it back and give me a new one.

Had dinner here last night. We showed up about an hour before closing and there was no wait. The service and food were excellent. I never leave reviews for restaurants, but I want this place to stick around for a long time. Loved the food, chicken was hot and juicy, waffle was perfect and all the sides we tried were good. No complaints at all. We left happy and full!

Whenever there is something new I try to take the wife. The last time I was at this spot, it was Buffalo Wild Wings. The atmosphere is about the same, but the vibe has changed. They even have a female DJ spinning R&B.The restaurant is clean and the staff were courteous and very professional. I’m sure our experience was not intentional but we showed up at about 5:15 PM. We ordered our food but due to two parties, one in the back and one on the patio, we sat for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was about 11 of us in the main dining area and we all waited. We actually joked that we should have came early, so we could have shopped in the mall before it closed. When the food came, we enjoyed it but we were a bit discouraged. We both thought, they should have just told us in the beginning there would be a long wait so we could have came back on a better day and time.

There was an approximate 45 minute wait to be seated, upon being seated and placing my order…sadly it took nearly an hour to receive the food. The red beans & rice had a relatively small piece of sausage and a gigantic bowl of beans & rice. The beans seemed old as if they had been reheated multiple days. The greens and macaroni & cheese were both bland. The macaroni was hard in some bites. The greens had a good texture, weren’t over cooked just bland. The cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste. They have a large selection of desserts. The waitress was inattentive… They were also apparently running a day care in back for staff (not for real…), several times some of the kids escaped and it was a challenge to wrangle/catch the fun seeking toddlers. There were a lot of people in the restaurant perhaps because it was Friday evening and people were excited to try this version of the old Che Soul. Apparently this is the daughter’s restaurant. It appears that she needs help in the kitchen , the wait and bus staff were adequate. With all that said, I will try them again next month and give the new Entrepreneur another opportunity. BTW, it’s located at Solano Mall (or whatever they are calling it now) adjacent to Dick’s Sporting Goods. It’s the old Buffalo Wild Wings location.

Came here with my Mom and Grandma. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was great too. There was a wait for the food (~35-40min) after ordering but definitely worth it! As long as you come in knowing that you’re good. I had the Catfish plate which came with your choice of 2 sides( I did greens, Mac & cheese) and bread ( I chose cornbread). My mom and grandmother both had the Fried chicken lunch special which also came with 1 side each & bread ( red beans and rice & hushpuppies for my mom; Fried Okra & hushpuppies for my grandma). You can even order for pick up and we met the owner! My family and I will be coming again and we will be telling our friends.

Honestly I saw some mixed reviews but mostly in favor. I’m here to tell you….. something great is happening here. The food is absolutely hands down delicious. The portions are generous. The dinners are fairly priced for what you get. The gumbo cup was pricey pricey yet it was also high quality and delicious. Here’s the thing I had to adjust in my head….. while this location is in the old Buffalo wild wings spot….. don’t miss the fact this is really an elevated experience. The service is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience…. the staff working in synchronization to ensure you have what you need. it’s also evident they are moving around with purpose to keep everything clean and tables cleared. It’s actually very exciting to witness a new start up aiming to offer a Michelin level experience. I will return and tell everyone I know. Ohhhh I forgot the coconut cake DROOOOOL!!!!

Was interested when I heard a soul food restaurant was in the area and for my first time trying it, it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and the waiting time was moderate. The wait was worth it, the Macaroni was cheesy and delightful, the chicken was crisp and healed my soul, the gumbo was to die for, and the portions were generous. However, I really cannot wrap my head around the size of the “sandwich” that I received, it was as if it was missing a whole other half to it and I was able to eat it one bite and was left wanting more of that juicy and tasteful goodness, other than that I definitely see myself coming more often, maybe not for the sandwich though.

Best meal I’ve had in a while. I got Crawfish etouffee and my wife got short ribs. It was delicious. The etouffee was well seasoned, flavorful, and had a generous portion of crawfish. The short ribs were extremely tender, flavorful, and generous portion. The hush puppies were without a doubt the best hush puppies I’ve ever had. This was wonderful and I look forward to coming back for dinner.

And daughter decided to stop by. Nice place, great customer service. I ordered Turkey wings , yams, macaroni and red beans . Good was 4/10 the corn bread was good .. not enough flavor at all.
My daughter had the chicken and waffle the waffle was good and the chicken taste like it had been sitting .. 4/10
My mom had had fried fish, chicken, greens and black eyed peas. All the sides were not to our liking..
