This is the first and last time I’m coming here. Don’t come here, I don’t recommend it at all. I ordered half a chicken and anticuchos (meat skewers), and it took them more than 30 minutes to bring the chicken and the frozen fries. Then, the waitress came to ask if we had ordered anything else, and I told her yes, that we had ordered anticuchos. She left and came back a while later to tell us that they had run out. I think she could have told me that when I placed the order or half an hour ago. They brought me a small chicken with almost no meat and a lot of fries.
The largest part of the chicken was the breast, because the rest of the leg and thigh were very small, with almost no meat to be had from them. This made me realize why the place was empty, even though I had gone there based on a recommendation from a while ago.
The sauces tasted like pure oil; honestly, they were horrible.
You pay for a quality product and you don’t receive it. Because of this, we had to go eat somewhere else, which meant more expense.

I KNOW the rating is a lie. $88.60 for 9 tacos, 2 kids quesadillas, guacamole, and 2 drinks WITH a %3 cash discount and I want to know where they got their meat or what they did to it for it to look and taste the way it did.
I tried asking for the receipt they tried to not give me an itemized receipt so I pushed specifically asked for it- come to find out, they charged me double the price for the drinks when she ASKED what they were having like it was part of the kids meal WITHOUT being clear that it was an additional charge. I TRULY wish the food was edible because I HATE that there aren’t more mom and pop restaurants.
EDIT TO ADD: review was written in real time AS I PERSONALLY investigated why our bill was so high and they didn’t give me an itemized receipt. If the food was EDIBLE I wouldn’t have even questioned it. They refunded one chicken taco or whatever after I expressed while they were trying to remove the excess charges that all 6 street tacos were gross. My husband forced himself to eat them (4 and another tortilla) BECAUSE we didn’t want to waste our money and didn’t want to be rude but the reason why they even refunded the 1 taco and not 2 is because he ate the other tortilla. Just full disclosures! Further want to emphasize I support small business when given the opportunity but I have a high standard for food.
If you eat here, the birria tacos are at least masked by cheese and sauce. The street tacos you get the full picture of what you’re eating so.. GOOD LUCK.

Such a cool spot! I stopped by Chevere Street for dinner and honestly loved everything — the vibe, the music, and how friendly everyone was. I tried the burger with fries, and it was super tasty — juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. The place feels cozy and has that Latin street food energy. I’ll definitely be back to try their arepas next time!

First visit here and we really enjoyed it! Next door to Food Lion. I loved my shrimp quesadillas (big, fresh shrimp in every bite)! My wife loved her juicy chicken quesadillas! Awesome guacamole!! The owner, Frankie is a great and friendly guy who is from Peru, and has served in our military. Let’s get out there and support this veteran owned business in these difficult times for a start up restaurant.
