Overall: One of the places I’ll go to for dim sum.
The extended review…
Food: 4/5 – You can get all the staples here. Got a few savory dishes and rounded out the meal with some dessert bites. Can’t really go wrong. Everything was fresh.
Service: 3/5 – Standard service.
Ambiance: 3/5 – The normal run of the mill dim sum establishment.
Portion to Price: Standard pricing.

I saw a lot of mixed reviews. It was on Thanksgiving, and my family preferred to have takeaway instead of dine-in. You can ask them “less oil”. The food was not too bad. We had a good holiday feast.

Stopped by for a quick lunch during a work trip at Cheung Hing and it did not disappoint! It was a bit of a chaotic hustle and bustle but the food was fantastic! It’s hard finding authentic Chinese food in Arizona that beat the flavor and price of this place! Every dish was better than the last and I was full for the next two days because I couldn’t stop eating it! Great spot to check out for a hidden gem!

Jan. 2025 Update:
Dropping rating by one star…
Most items we ordered were fine. Waitstaff are generally friendly.
Unfortunately the overall experience has gone downhill during past two visits. The manager is constantly upselling and is very unpleasant. In fact, she becomes quite rude when you decline. Also noticed that the service charge has increased from 15% to 18%. There is still no notification on the menus of the mandatory fee–surprising given this practice has been illegal in California for over half a year now!

Quiet, good selection of dim sum dishes, decent service.
Note that there is a mandatory service charge, irrespective of size of party.

We came here for dim sum at lunchtime on a Saturday for four people. Wow, no line. The restaurant did fill up after we sat down. Their menu and food are not bad. They have the usual dim sum stuff for $5-$9 a plate/steamer. You can also order off-menu and they might have it. Someone in our party wanted okra (green tube vegetable thing) and they had it over soy sauce. We will certainly go back to try their fried sticky rice dishes. Good job staff at Cheung Hing. Their service is better than some of the big dim sum restaurants down the peninsula. $155 for four people. Mandatory 18% tip.

Cheung Hing is offering a variety of traditional Cantonese authentic flavors that balance of taste and texture for those seeking genuine dim sum experiences in San Francisco.

I can’t believe they do it. If they don’t care about delivery drivers then why do they take this service in restaurants?
I waited over there for more than half an hour they didn’t ask me even 1 time, I tried more than 10/12 times is the order was ready but they ignored me just like nothing happened. In my two years of experience as an Uber Eats driver, this is the worst thing that happened.
And the end of the wait of 35 minutes I canceled the order. I wish I never wanted to be there.

Ugh. I hate to post sub-par reviews but I feel like it’s a PSA to let you all know there is a automatic 18% gratuity service charge already added to your bill. To be fair, they did circle it on the second receipt… Coming from decades in hospitality industry, I always start from 20% gratuity in mind. As things fail, I lower it accordingly. I would have considered 15% generous but 18% was their mandatory minimum. The 1st star given is due to the fact they actually had real Peking duck available (without having to preorder). 2nd star because everyone’s having staff issues and you could see they severely needed at least one other person to service their dinner crowd. 3rd star for the food was good but not as expected nor great. The Peking duck’s skin was shaved off (else, it’s just roasted duck) but not crispy. The cut pieces had shards of bone throughout and was hard to easily make and eat your Peking duck bao/bun (sans bones and shards). The 4th star fell off due to really painfully slow service all around- from entry, wait to be acknowledged and seated, wait to take our order, not giving us peanuts with our tea (as observed at other tables), having to ask for Togo containers, having to then ask for our check (was incorrectly charged for 2 half duck @$28 ea vs our whole duck @$48) and getting the revised check, and then for them to process my credit card. Then to add insult, we saw other customers received a nice complimentary dish of mango pudding, and we were served red bean soup. Disappointed and feeling profiled, even though Asian and able to speak/understand Cantonese, we will not be coming back.

Had a family dinner here as my cousins were going to fly back to HK. I’ve came here many times and always enjoyed my time here but this time was a little different. The manager? wanted to change one of our dishes to siu-yook with green beans. It was originally eggplant and green beans dish. We just said ok because we can tell she will go on and on about how this new dish will suit us better and we already had another eggplant dish, which we didn’t mind. I realize she probably wanted this change as the siu yook was probably from the afternoon lunch time, she wanted to get rid of it so she came up with this dish. Just MY theory and some of me family members felt the same. She was pushing real hard for us to change the dish.
My boyfriend also didn’t want their dessert so I asked the waitress can you give us one less bowl of it. She was fine with it but the manager? overheard and made a big deal out of it. She wanted us to take the extra bowl even if no one was going to eat it and went on and on about it.
There was a couple of other small things she did which I wasn’t very fond of. All of the times I’ve came here I hadn’t seen her before so I never had this issue.
Overall, some of the food was good but some was to salty.
Despite this ‘bad’ experience, there was many good experiences I had here and would still want to come again… just hope the manager? wasn’t there LOL

Everything was great! The food was delicious. We ordered the pan fried crispy noodles, shrimp and scallop sizzling platter, green bean and eggplant combo, clams with black bean sauce, and Peking style pork. Everything was tasty. Service was also great. They included 18% tip in the bill and they made sure that we knew the tip was included.
I really enjoyed the food, the quick/responsive service, and the honesty and friendliness of the staff. Definitely coming back.
