It was a little pricey but not by much, The service was okay the waiter seemed a little upset or just mad, the fries are not what I wanted, I wanted American fries but got sliced potatoes. The grilled cheese was good no complaints there, the soup and the coleslaw all good. The pepper and the hot sauce wasn’t very strong so a 2 star there. The hot chocolate was amazing though that would be the only reason I would come back.

Best Lemon meringue pie anywhere! The vegetable soup is homemade and delicious. We also had the breakfast plate. And the portions were enormous. Best of all, the Owner and Staff are friendly and kind. You’ll feel right at home here at Chestnut Inn.

The food and service was great. The bathrooms could use some attention. They were that clean. The soap bottle seemed a little “dry” when I used it so it made me a little weary about when someone used soap last to wash their hands.
The portions are huge. You won’t leave hungry. 2 that don’t eat much could probably share a meal. Not 1 of our party of 5 finished our meal.
Serve breakfast all day. Chicken strips are hand breaded!

We came from chicago to pick up my brother law we were looking for a place to eat close to Henry and this restaurant came up on google and let me tell you best place I have ever been hot fresh food super good I highly recommend this place very friendly service if I could give more then 5 stars I would very happy I came here

Good food, satisfying portions, friendly service, restaurant clean….my regular “go to” for weekly dining. Henry hometown regulars…family friendly, big tables for meetings or gatherings. Hate that they are closed on Tuesdays, as are all Henry restaurants, but staff need that day off to relax after all that great service.

My group had a couple skillets that were fantastic. Many places seasoning is off and over medium eggs are always way too runny. Not this place! Seasoning was perfect, did not use salt and pepper at all. Skillet was hot and delicious all the way through. We were very impressed with our simple breakfast.
