People treat you poorly, serve and walk away without making sure you need anything else. If you ask for sauce they rattle a box and say “we are out”. Chicken is dry and hard. Overly priced and disgusting. Long lines and rude people.

As busy as this location is we would’ve thought it would be super fresh and hot, sadly, were so wrong. 2 stars because we liked the lady served us. The apple pie and the mac-n-cheese were good but the tenders, the fried chicken, and the honey biscuit were dry and old. The biscuit was just to hard to eat and was what I was really looking forward to. Hope it was just an off evening, we’ll try again and hopefully change the review.

This Chester’s Chicken is located in a Loves truck stop fuel station convenience store. There is a Subway Sandwich shop right next to it. It seems to be constantly busy but I’ve never had to wait to long.. The chicken has always been well prepared. It is medium crunchy and not heavily spiced. There are three or four side dishes usually available to include potato wedges, fried okra, and corn on the cob.

Chicken was crispy and tasty. Potatoes a bit bland but not bad, green beans SUPER salty. Livers in the case were DEAD! almost black, so didn’t order. Cranky server. Overall…doable.

First time eating Chester;s was not a disappointment. Got the 3 piece meal with a biscuit and Mac and cheese. Awesome. Love that its in a Love’s so that I could get my Cherry Coke Zero from the fountain in the truck stop rather than the regular drinks from Chester’s. Definitely will be hitting it up again.
