They use low grade chicken. How do I know? The meat gets stuck between your teeth. High grade chicken will not get stuck in-between your teeth. Chick fila shouldn’t be our only option for high quality chicken! Do better! Your customers deserve it.

They never have any fresh food ready and never want to make any for the customers. I have stopped at different times of the day and of the week and they never have any gizzards. The women workers never seem to want to work. There is a guy here and I unfortunately didn’t catch his name. He is the only bright spot about this location. He always will want to work for the customers that I’ve seen, great guy. It’s 11/11 at 12:00 pm and they don’t have any gizzards or livers smh.

This truck stop chicken was pretty dry and seemed like it was left out a bit too long. I couldn’t eat more than half the chicken sandwich. The sides were ok and the biscuits were pretty good. Might be better when the food is fresher, maybe I came kind of late. The staff was friendly though.

Good fried chicken. The barbecue sauce and Chester sauce are delicious. I tried the fried chicken tenders and bone-in chicken breast. Definitely go with bone-in chicken. It’s way better. I’m glad I stopped at this gas station.

The customer service was SUPER friendly! They were so kind to everyone passing through whether they purchased food or not. I didn’t like the honey garlic chicken they had but they were so nice and gave me another order of plain chicken and I loved it. Their food tastes very simple so definitely helped me since I don’t do well on road trips and this is a truck stop. The boneless chicken wings are just lightly coated chicken breast chunks in batter and it was very satisfying and easy on the stomach for the trip ahead. Definitely recommend, the prices aren’t bad for needing filling food on the road. I don’t recommend the honey garlic though as it tasted kind of like orange chicken which gives me an upset stomach, but if you love that sort of thing then get it because my sister who does love that loved my chicken they let me keep. Cousin LOVED the honey butter biscuit. Mac and cheese was actually cheesy not watery, but it was plain. Again I appreciate the simplicity but the mac wasn’t bad at all but I wouldn’t call it “good” despite enjoying it. I still recommend it over KFC mac and cheese.

Here on 4/27/23. The waitress was awesome.. We both ordered the lasagna. The poor waitress was sent out to tell us that the cook does not want to prep and make it. She said he was being difficult. Its a good thing there was no manager here. First time we stopped here and the last.

While on a long road trip, we were excited to see a Chester’s here. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry, and the biscuits were dry. The Mac and cheese did not taste as good as we are used to having at Chester’s.
Maybe try Don Carbon across the street, they have really good reviews!
