Lately Chester’s has been on Point like a #2 pencil! This is my go to spot for ribs. I enjoy the mustard and vinegar base bbq sauce. I understand if some people don’t. Give em a try and ask for no sauce or sauce on the side. Keep it up Chester’s! See y’all next trip…

Everytime I’m in Columbus, GA my mother-in-law always have me to stop by and pick up Chester’s Barbeque on my way home. A very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere, a friendly service with a smile. Mrs Bap told me she been eating @ Chester’s Barbeque for over 20 years. Now that’s a real satisfied customer.

It’s been a while but it’s still good. Brunswick stew didn’t taste as fresh. Went for a leg quarter tray but they were out. Ended up with a rib tray with double slaw and it was just as good! Pic posted is of my s/o rib tray.

I wish I could rate 4.5 stars instead. This was my first visit. I got the ribs with the stew and collards. My husband got the 1/2 chicken, stew and beans and lemonade. The ribs and chicken were awesome, except the breast was a bit dry… the only things I didn’t care for were the beans and cornbread, he didn’t like the greens. We ate at a nearby park since we are traveling but the food was just barely warm. I like really hot food so this is why they lost a star. Oh- the lemonade was excellent.

Pros – REALLY good food & good sized portions. Woman at the front counter was nice. Restaurant was cute small & cozy.
Cons – There was a yellow topping on my ribs that I didn’t ask for. I didn’t particularly like it so I couldn’t finish my ribs. & my corn was cold on the inside. I can tell they tried to warm it up in a microwave. If my corn wasn’t cold and the yellow sauce wasn’t on my ribs I would’ve given them 5 stars. Now I know to ask for ribs WITHOUT that sauce.
