This charming café, owned by the kindest and most welcoming man, Amir, is a true hidden gem in downtown Los Angeles. Originally from Iran, Amir personally greets guests at the front, ensuring every customer feels right at home. His staff is efficient and attentive, delivering exceptional service with a smile.

The food? Absolutely exquisite. I had the chicken pesto panini paired with freshly squeezed orange juice—hands down the best panini of its kind I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed a spinach omelet with two lattes, both prepared to perfection. We loved it so much that we returned the very next day to explore more of the menu. This time, I tried the avocado sandwich while my husband went for the turkey omelet—both equally delicious.

Amir took the time to stop by and chat with us, and our conversation was as enjoyable as the meal. He’s a down-to-earth, humble man who treats his employees like family, and it’s clear he’s well-loved by the community. The café, located near the courthouse, is a favorite among local office staff, many of whom know Amir by name.

The combination of a warm atmosphere, outstanding food, and top-notch service makes this spot a must-visit for breakfast or lunch. If you’re in the downtown LA area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you’ll thank me later!

My chicken wrap was surprisingly good. I was shocked so I kept examining it. I don’t usually like tomatoes but this tasted great.

The people at the Kawada Hotel recommended this wonderful diner. I walked in and fell in love with the place. I’m not a fancy person, but I may as well have been eating at a Michellin Stared restaurant. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly. I love ❤️ a good diner for breakfast. If I were to recommend something, it would be to have something other than plastic silverware. Bring the kids…

I came to this cafe after seeing the reviews and this cafe is great. It has a spacious and inviting seating area and the person at the registered was super nice as well as the person making the food when they handed it to me. I will definitely be back! I had the iced latte and the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. They both were great as well! 🙂

I stumbled into this café after a long night out & boy, was I in for a treat! Not only did they have an extensive breakfast menu, but they had a bunch of vegetarian sandwiches and other options that I was excited about. I tried the cherry veggie sandwich on pumpernickel and loved it! Not only that, but I could tell this was a place that had a lot of regulars because Amir behind the counter was so sweet and seemed to know a lot of customers by name. Overall, a lovely experience. Thank you – I will be back!!

The hot sandwiches are fantastic. The owner is a very nice man. The atmosphere is a bit strange for me, but interesting. Although this may be classic Los Angeles. $47 for two sandwiches and medium coffees is a little more expensive than typical chain cafes, but the sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and fresh bread won me over.

Just a perfect diner. I got the pastrami breakfast sandwich; my partner had the smoked salmon bagel. Both were wonderful: excellent flavors, generous portions, very fair prices. Good coffee too. Loved the atmosphere: extremely friendly and welcoming staff and service, mix of locals and visitors. Check it out!
