Finally found a great catfish restaurant near Austin. The catfish fillets were lightly breaded and perfectly fried. I got the Cherry Creek Trio plate. Included 3 catfish fillets, 3 butterfly shrimp and 2 ribs. The ribs were surprisingly good as were the shrimp. Love that jalapeno tartar sauce! We will be back.

I ordered the Cheery Creek Trio platter that came with catfish, shrimp and ribs. My ribs were dry as shoe leather and horrible. Whoever put those ribs on a plate should be fired. The shrimp and catfish were average at best. Will not be coming back.

Meh. I’m not sure, but I think nearly everything on the menu is fried. I suppose that’s how it’s supposed to be. Don’t get me wrong, I’m exactly the kind of gal that likes me some fried seafood. But in this instance I was overwhelmed. I think it’s a bit too pricey for what it is. But they definitely serve you a lot of food. However, I feel like they are sacrificing flavor for quantity.

The service is typically sub par here but they take big parties and almost everything we’ve had here is good. We love the catfish ofcourse but I always get the gumbo. It’s a dark nutty roux with a little spice and crawfish thrown in. One of the better places to eat in leander consistently.

The place was clean staff was very courteous. I had the gumbo and it was excellent. My wife had fish tacos grilled and rhe catfish was great not fishy or muddy tasting like most places. We will definitly be back.

Really enjoyed the place. Went in to eat catfish but saw the Chicken Fried Steak and glad that I did (even though I love catfish!). Service was great, portions were large and very good. Had a cobbler for dessert and it was huge and plenty for two to share. Will definitely go back and try the catfish (unless the siren for the Chicken Fried Steak overwhelms me again!! ).

Decided to check this place out and glad we did! The staff has been friendly each time. The food has been good. Reminds me of home cooked meals. Husband likes the fried catfish and I always get the chicken fried steak. Reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The place has character-would recommend.
