Very good service very good food. It was quiet when I arrived at 3:00. My waiter was very attentive. They also had a beautiful Ofrenda on display. I felt right at home ❤️

Overall experience is okay but the food did make up for it. We came in big table of people of 9. The water was not refilled and we had to ask for it and salsa for our friend. We definitely go back and try their food and service. Give a second chance.

I’ve been coming here for years, not sure why I haven’t written a review yet. This gem is just down the street from us, so we have visited for their weekday lunch specials, weekend brunch, and evenings.

Consistently good food – and I usually try different plates. The service is very good. Prices are reasonable! Friday and Saturday nights can get pretty busy – if you have a “group” – you may want to call ahead on those days.

Highly recommend!

This has been our go-to neighborhood Tex-Mex joint since moving to the area a year ago, but something has been off on recent visits. Orders arrive at the table completely wrong. Not sure if this is a problem in the kitchen or with the server, but it’s getting old. House frozen margarita ($12) is outstanding, and the salsa is some of the best I’ve had. I don’t recommend the carnitas (pork) as it tends to be gristly and oily. Brisket is hit-or-miss and can often be greasy. A manager used to always be visible in the dining area, but not so on recent visits. Atmosphere is better than most Mom & Pop Mexican restaurants, but it can be noisy to the point where it’s impossible to have a conversation.
If you pick up a To Go order, I would check it before leaving as we’ve had items omitted from orders in the past.
Hope they get these issues resolved or we’ll be looking elsewhere for our Tex-Mex fixes.

We went here to have my friend birthday dinner. Food is okay. But our waiter kept asking if he can get our plate eventhough still have food and we still eating. And we kept asking for water and he just focusing on our plate to get that we still eating. Its not busy that night that is why we dont understand why he is in a hurry to clean our table and wants us to leave. We arrived there 4:30pm. We left 5:50pm.

What a hidden gem I found ! Came for lunch and the garden out front is what I first noticed and what really drew me in. I took a moment to admire it before coming inside. Diverse life in there!
I ordered ceviche and a mango mojito. Both were delicious !! I then ordered the street corn which lacks some flavor but still tastes good! Bryan was my server and he is extremely nice and accommodating! Constantly checking up on me and has great conversation. I’ll definitely be back and recommend to anyone desiring some delicious authentic food and drinks!

Great standard Tex Mex food. Food is good and so is the price. I often come to order Lola’s Tacos or their flautas.

Good salsa and good queso, so it’s good by me. Nothing fancy, and the staff is always wonderful.

We visited this place because it was one of the few open during Superbowl Sunday. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice. The place was clean. However, the customer service wasn’t the best. We walked in and a guy came over, handed us two menus and utensil packets, and said “Sit anywhere you like” and walked away. Our food was delivered hot and delicious but we were not asked if we needed anything else and when they came back to check on us it was more of a “You don’t need anything right?” and then they walked away. We had to call after him what we needed. It was a good place to go if you want good food and don’t care about service. The hot sauce was hot. The drink I ordered was delicious. The food was aplenty. Just don’t expect the best customer service.

Review of Chepa’s Mexican Grill

Walking into Chepa’s Mexican Grill, I was ready for a good meal and some quiet time with my book. The restaurant had the typical vibrant decor you’d expect from a Mexican spot—warm colors, rustic accents, and a lively atmosphere. The menu seemed extensive, offering everything from seafood dishes to enchiladas, making it a solid choice for a variety of cravings.

However, my experience with the hostesses was less than welcoming. They initially tried to seat me at a small two-seater by the bar, which felt cramped and not ideal for enjoying a meal and reading. When I asked for a different table, they seemed hesitant but eventually cleaned one off. It wasn’t the best first impression, but I was willing to move past it.

Thankfully, my server more than made up for it. They were incredibly attentive, checking in at just the right moments and ensuring I had everything I needed. Their friendly attitude and great service really elevated the experience.

For appetizers, I went with the stuffed jalapeños. These things were massive—stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in crispy bacon, and full of flavor. But one of them? It had me questioning my life choices. The heat was intense, almost tear-inducing, but if you like spicy food, you’ll appreciate the kick.

The highlight of the meal was the tortilla soup. It was everything you want in a comforting bowl—rich, flavorful broth, big chunks of tender chicken, melted cheese, and crispy tortilla strips. It had that perfect balance of heartiness and warmth that makes tortilla soup such a classic.

Despite the rocky start, the food itself was solid, and the menu has enough variety to make me want to come back and explore more. Hopefully, next time, the seating situation will be smoother, but with great service and delicious food, I’d say it was worth the visit.

The food is always good. We definitely like the food; and, salsa, especially the habanero sauce.
