Went to Chennai Spice as a group of four to celebrate a birthday and had a lovely time. The service was superb and the lady who looked after us was very friendly and attentive. I’ve been here a few times before and it’s always been a great experience.

We ordered the Special Puttu Koththu and Chicken Varuval, both were full of flavour and had a good level of spice. They’re also happy to adjust the spice level to your liking if you ask, which is a nice touch.

I did feel the portion sizes seemed a bit smaller than before, maybe because of the new serving dishes, but honestly the food was so tasty it didn’t really matter. Everything was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavour.

Very delicious food, reasonably priced and big portions. Bit noisy due to karaoke hall next door, nevertheless you can have little quite time in adjacent hall. I would come again.

We had a party here yesterday, and everything was excellent! The food was tasty, and the price was very reasonable. All the staff were extremely helpful, especially Ramesh and Santhosh, who were very cooperative. Before the party, I gave them a list of tasks to complete, and they fulfilled everything perfectly, including cleaning and arrangements. We’re very happy with the service. The hall is a good size for small parties. Highly recommended!

I ordered mutton briyani but had to wait about 50 minutes, and when it finally arrived, it turned out to be mutton curry. The delivery should be properly checked and handled carefully.
Now, when I ordered briyani again, I had to wait another 50 minutes

This place has genuinely South Indian cuisine and other regional cuisine of India The Crab curry was just amazing and the paratta was up to the standards and the Tamarind Rice was another top hit and highly recommended. I have been to Kerela, Sri Lanka and I personally think the quality and authenticity here was actually better❤️❤️❤️

Reasonably priced. Food seemed fresh, especially dosas, vadas and Gobi 65. Great to have a South Indian/ Sri Lankan restaurant in Enfield. Will definitely return.

I used to enjoy buying Koththu here and always loved the taste. Recently, after a long time, I ordered one mutton Koththu and one Idiyappam special Koththu. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The portions had very little meat—only a few tiny pieces of mutton—and were mostly filled with roti.

This was very different from my past experiences, and it makes me wonder if the management has changed. I really hope Chennai Spice maintains its original quality and standards, as this used to be one of my favourite places.

Had an early dinner at this nice little restaurant in Edmonton Green. Was visiting a friend and went there to have some Indian food.
The cuisine can be called Tamil/ Sri Lankan food they have some good North Indian varieties as well.
Tried medu vada with coconut chutney for starter. It was ok. Decent
Tried idiyappam/ sothi/ sambal- it was good
Chicken varuval was really nice a good portion and tasted fresh and was my favorite.
Tried Srilanka chicken curry which tasted nice as well.
We finished off with some kersari and vanilla ice cream.
The vanilla ice cream unlike in most places really tasted of milk and it was really good.

Chennai Spice Review: Great Food & Venue, but Falooda Disappointed
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Chennai Spice offers an authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan dining experience with a fantastic selection of flavorful dishes. The biryani, dosas, and curries are packed with rich spices and cooked to perfection, making it a great spot for those craving traditional flavors. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is warm and welcoming.

The banqueting hall is a standout feature, perfect for weddings, parties, and corporate events. With elegant decor and spacious seating, it provides a great venue for special occasions.

However, the falooda was disappointing. It lacked the richness and balance of flavors expected from this classic dessert, which was a letdown compared to the otherwise excellent meal.

Overall, Chennai Spice is a great choice for South Indian cuisine and events, but there’s room for improvement in certain menu items.
