Another no frills Chinese bbq restaurant! We ordered a rice roll and combo bbq plate (honey pork and roasted duck). The price is on the higher end than expected. The food was pretty good otherwise. There’s a decent amount of seating available if you wanted to dine in.

Silky rice rolls & Hong Kong BBQ

Grand Opening

For those that claim to like authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food and dim sum. These aren’t those thick, gummy cheungfun 腸粉 that you order a tiny plate of for the same price at your favorite dim sum spot.
These are the thin, deliciously delicate rice noodle rolls that are typically made at morning markets, that can include egg and various toppings of your choice.

I’ve only had this style of silky, lacey flavorful rice rolls at popular restaurants like Ming Kee in Hong Kong, at stalls in Flushing, and morning markets outside of Shanghai. But, I never thought that silky rice rolls would exist outside of Atlanta.

Since this is a casual, self service teahouse style restaurant, the hot tea is complimentary. Order at the counter and the staff will bring the food to your table.

This is my new favorite inexpensive Chinese restaurant.

Great dining experience here. Very authentic flavor, good attention to details (fried peanuts in congee, ginger scallion sauce on rice, freshly cooked rice rolls.) Probably the best roast duck and roast pork in Atlanta that we had over the past 12 years living here. It is self service style restaurant so you pay upfront, and return trays afterwards. The manager did not charge us tips even for dining in so really appreciate the no hassle factor.

One little suggestion for the management: make this fully self-service like some Korean soup restaurants in the area (clear pickup station and return station with numbers on screen) Right now it is a little confusing when the numbers are called and where we need to return trays.

The soup is good here. I got the duck and rice dish with their signature shrimp rice rolls. Nothing special. Their rice rolls were very mid despite being their signature and lacked the usual silky texture with very little shrimp. It’s good for a quick bite, but for better flavor and authenticity, I would just go to Best BBQ in Greatwall

No frills no bs cantonese food, more of a 粥粉麵飯place, not really a traditional HK 茶餐廳。 food was good but a bit overpriced for what you get.

My wife got a pork feet steam rice, the rice was good but the pork feet was definitely too chewy, perhaps it is something others may like.

I got the crispy roast port and duck rice, roast pork was taste and flavor was good, well balance not too salty, but the sauce made the pork skin soggy and the duck, they gave 5 pieces with 3 of them being mostly bones. For this I would likely order half a duck if I really want it. The other thing is there was still some feather piece on the skin. Looking at other items I think are quite over priced. Cilantro rice roll for $8 is way too expensive.

No tip necessary since it is self serve.

2/11 update
This time we got roast duck rice, bbq pork and crispy pork.

Roast duck was good, I think the first time we went they didn’t have much left, so this time it was better in terms of the quantity given. Still a little pricey for the portion compared to their competitor at Best BBQ. Flavor wise I do prefer theirs more, not as salty as Best BBQ.

When we were there they had just open so everything was fresh. Chinese bbq a little on the sweet side but overall the texture and the meat was good, and it was not dry.

The crispy pork was really good the flavor was consistent and the skin, gave that beautiful crunch satisfaction.

With that I am changing my rating on it based on taste and quality, however the prices are still on the higher end.

It’s a shame that I could not try this place. I arrived Monday 2/16 at 6:30pm, and it seems they decided to have closed one day earlier than postage signage. I get that it is Chinese/Lunar New Years but having accurate times would have been helpful.

Ordered online at 10:20. Got here at 11:00 and was told nothing was made because the ticket never came out of their system. Then I have to wait additional 15 minutes to get my food. This is my second visit, and both times have been bad experiences. Not reliable. No apologies from the restaurant… Since I ordered from online, there is a $1 platform service fee. Anyway, I won’t visit there again!!
