It’s a little pricey but if you buy the food you get big portions. And note that food is for takeout and may take time to prepare. The jollof rice was easily enough for 2 people. I also got ofe akwu which was good – a very unique flavor though. They were adamant about warning me it was an acquired taste and seemed committed to us enjoying our first time having Nigerian food. Owners were very friendly!

First time trying Nigerian food, ended up here from a Google search for African restaurants near me, great option! I got jollof rice and fish with spice! Spice levels are just right. The lady brought me my food and asked if I’d tried her food before, I said no ma’am, she said let me show you! She was like have you tried Nigerian before, no ma’am! Lol she said try it now and pulled my fork out so I could taste! I love the confidence in her food and the food to back it up. All in all food is really good and I will be going back!

Came back again, ordered okra stew and fufu, I was not aware it came with meat in it, I was just expecting okra stew. Now worries though, just something to be aware of for the next time I come back.

If I could give zero stars I would. Believe the reviews about the owners being rude it is true! They pick and choose who to speak to and how. I asked for recommendations because I had never been there before. They outrightly refused stating they don’t want me to blame them if I don’t like the food. I said ok I understand.
I was placing my order, I asked a question about the menu items and was met with absolute hostility! The owner asked me why would I even ask? Would she sell something bad and how would she pay her bills? I was stunned! I tried to diffuse the situation I said ok I take it back I believe your food is good and trust you, I’m just new here that’s all. She said it was disrespectful for me to even ask if the food was good as I should know better. How exactly am I supposed to know better for food I’ve never eaten? In a place I’ve never been. She literally walked off in the middle of my order and refused service. I thought she was going to attend to other customers and come back to me so I waited thinking it wasn’t a problem and kept shopping around. When she came back around I asked if I could finish my order and pay for it. She yelled at me that she wasn’t gonna serve me and it’s her restaurant so she can refuse. I agreed and left to avoid things getting escalated. Truly disappointing that a customer asking a genuine question about menu is considered disrespectful. So much pride that it gets in the way of serving customers. There’s so much hate in this woman’s heart it’s unbelievable. I would not eat here.

Amazing food! We’re new to African food, but the owner was so kind and helped us figure out what to eat. The goat stew and the fried plantains were incredible. Can’t wait to come back. It does take a little while longer than most spots because the food is all made fresh, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

I have never written a review before but this one, this is disappointing. Very unprofessional experience. I expressed hesitation about a menu item “Fried Fish” and simply asked whether it was genuinely good. Instead of addressing my concern, the Lady staff walked away and refused to serve me.

Things became even more uncomfortable after they realized I was Nigerian like them. Meanwhile, my Liberian friend was served without hesitation.

I’m not sure what the issue was, but refusing service over a reasonable question is unacceptable. I expected better treatment and left feeling embarrassed and confused.

Love this place. We got egusi soup with fufu, goat stew with rice, and fried plantains. Every was amazing. The woman working (owner?) took the time to explain a couple of the dishes to us and was very kind. Will definitely be back.

My sons and i tried fufu for the first time. Mrs. beverly is the nicest person ever. She allowed us to embrace in a different culture through great food. Food is amazing!!Good amount to share. Definitely would recommend it. Spinach and Fish soup. Good flavor. Fish is a little strong but flavors pared very well. Egusi was good. My son’s devoured all of it. Chicken and Jilof rice is seasoned very good. Meals are enough to share and get full. All dishes are mildly spicey….. We will definitely revisit to try others ❤️ Thank you

Thank you to the young woman who was working today December 4 at around 1 o’clock.

I had no idea what I wanted, but she took the time to walk me through the meats, the sides that go with different meats I was looking for authentic FuFu.

If she tells you, you may want an extra ball of FuFu please listen to her. I should have listened. But my first time eating there so I now know for next time

First time in the store and had a HORRIBLE customer experience. Walked in and the huge door chime scared me and apparently it showed on my face. The owner immediately took offense to the frown on my face and proceeded to verbally attack me. I tried to explain that the chime scared me, but I did not say ANYTHING about it because that is not my place of business. I had moved on from it and started looking around at the store items. The owner continued to complain that I had a frown on my face when I walked in. COVID should have taught brick and mortar business owners to VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS!! Our spending power SHUT THEM DOWN ONCE, our spending power can shut them down AGAIN!!! It is ALWAYS nice to be nice to people!! I chose NOT to spend my money at a business that DO NOT APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMERS. The items that I were seeking to buy were just bought HASSLE FREE ON AMAZON. THE LESSON TO BE LEARNED: Business owners….be nice to the customers who choose to spend their hard earned money in your stores.
