Amazing! The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was very flavorful. I got the tonkotsu ramen and by boyfriend got the garlic Parmesan ramen and both were super yummy, perfect temperature (boiled egg was definitely more hard boiled than soft but that could be a one time thing) and overall perfect for the stormy weather we were in. They also give complimentary fried mochi balls which were so good!

This place makes hands down the best Japanese curry on island. I’ve tried a couple, authentic ones, cheap ones, fancy ones, the flavor here is the best! Yeah you wouldn’t think a ramen spot got great curry right!? Especially the staff don’t look like Japanese? But hey, if it’s good food, great service and friendly prices, I’m there. We would drive to Kalihi just for this.
Why their curry? Flavorful, great consistency, carrots and onions inside, got a bit of kick to it, perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness. Also their oysters are well fried with a good crunch. Just so glad they got the oyster option! (5 pieces for their oyster curry). Then they got their good tonkotsu going for their ramen. I usually prefer the black garlic oil, but their plain tonkotsu is bomb. Rich and flavorful with noodles with good texture.
Great prices because a combo with chicken katsu curry comes with a bowl of ramen and 4 pieces of gyoza for $18.50. On top of that they gave us complimentary delicious fried sesame mochi balls.
The place has enough tables to not have people waiting outside, although I do think they deserve to have a waitlist. It’s clean, simple and comfortable to dine in.
This place deserves 7 stars I think. I hope they do well for a long time because I wanna keep coming back. It’s so rare nowadays to have restaurants like this! Mahalo for being a gem to the community! I love Chef’s Ramen. See you next week lol.

This place is awesome I ordered at 8:05 pm and the took me in. I got the Tonkatsu curry with rice and boy did it deliver and satisfy my cravings! Crispy outside and juicy inside. Next time I will come for Ramen! I appreciate the portions and they have house Mede chili oil in bottles not to spicy but it gets the job done. The dining area is clean. I’m ready for the next time I come!

So good! Everything was so well cooked and full of flavor. Mochi balls at the end really put a excellent finishing touch on a great meal. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. Highly recommend!

I love Chef’s Ramen. There a many different types to choose from. My favorites are the Miso and traditional Tan Tan men. The gyoza is also really good here! Even with takeout they separate the noodles and soup so the noodles stay al dente. Yummy!

Outstanding! The Tonkotsu Miso ramen was 100% delicious (10/10), highly recommended! We thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp curry as well, very delicious (10/10). The service was excellent! Lastly, the fried Mochi balls were crazy good! Overall, Chef’s Ramen was 10/10.

First off let me say the customer service is the top experience I have had in a very long time! Young lady was by herself and was very attentive and very sweet! Amazing food! Char siu is so soft and not overly fatty. Prices are amazing as well. Definitely going back when on this side of the island!

We ordered the beef ramen and the shabu shabu spicy ramen. Balanced flavor, Great portions. We also had the gyoza and fried rice, both were delicious. Definitely will come back again, the broth on the beef ramen was memorable.
