Cheff Tally’s Jamaican food truck is an absolute gem! The portions are very generous—you definitely get your money’s worth—and every bite is packed with authentic Jamaican flavor. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the rich, savory sauces, the flavors are bold, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. You can tell everything is made with care and passion. If you’re craving real Jamaican food with great taste and great portions, Cheff Tally is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

… This could not be the same Chef Tally that I had many years ago. I ordered their 3 meat platter (jerk chicken, jerk pork, and jerk St. Louis ribs.), and a small jerk chicken. Nothing had any real flavor. The jerk and overall flavor was just about nonexistent; quite insipid… Even a little bit of salt would have been great. It was smoky, but that was really it. I know wood is expensive, but they definitely would have benefited from using something more than just post oak; a couple of logs of pecan, apple, cherry, or something else to give it a little “oomph”.
For me, this was nothing like traditional jerk that I’ve grown up enjoying in Jamaica.
The sauces, however, were great! Really, the only saving grace of the meal.
The staff was friendly, and took my order relatively quickly. The food came out within a couple of minutes. The set up is a bit of a makeshift outside eatery. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done.
I’m not sure if they’ve changed recipes over the years, or something else happened, but from what I’ve tasted, this was nothing like what I’ve had years back, and definitely not worth the 4.7 rating that they do have right now.

The service can’t get any worst than this. It’s unbelievably disrespectful. It’s the day before Thanksgiving and they are bombarded with pre orders for whole Turkey and pans of chicken. Apparently the grills weren’t working as well as expected.

Surprisingly, the line is not very long when I got there around 5:50pm After I waited for over an hour in line I realized NOT ONE customer waiting (some for up to 2 hours in line) was served. The last customers in line was served over 90 minutes before.
Some customers left while others like myself patiently continued to wait while the catered & online orders were served.

During the 90+ mins that I stood in line (there were at least 15 persons left, ahead of me) NOBODY FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT addressed the waiting customers. It was not until one brave customers decided to intervene and loudly pointed out the disrespectful way they customers were treated that a female server came out to arrogantly state that she had told the very first customer in line that there’d be a wait. The waiting customers were stunned by this as they did not hear any announcement and there was no sign posted with this information. The cashier at the window during the almost 2 hour wait was casually playing on her phone.

After all this they DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE to us who were still waiting.

This is blatant disrespect and showing no regards for loyal customers. The establishment is doing quite well, supported and sustained by loyal customers and management treat us with such disdain

This is what happens when there’s no significant competition.

I’ll say regardless of the fact that the food is good the portion is big the price is reasonable; they need to recognize that loyal customers (who like me who travel an hour or more weekly) sustain the business and if it were not profitable they wouldn’t be opened only 3 days a week.

Management can behave arrogantly until customers are fed up and or they no longer monopolize the market.

It’s quite shameful as this is a traditional Jamaican establishment and majority of the customers served are Jamaicans.

Giants do fall. Customer service can’t get worst than @Cheftally and it needs to improve. It’s quite shameful and needs to be addressed

I drove 40 minutes from South Beach just to try this chef tally food truck, and let me tell you—it was totally worth it. I arrived right during the dinner rush and waited in line for about an hour, but I was just glad they hadn’t sold out by the time I got to the front!

I ordered the large chicken and the large chicken & ribs combo. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. The sauces were a standout—sooo good with just the right amount of heat. I’m a big pepper sauce fan, and theirs did not disappoint. I also appreciated the variety of sauces available.

Another thing I noticed (and appreciated): they were really clean and organized. The staff cleaned the sauce bottles frequently and made sure everything stayed stocked and tidy, even during the rush.

I’m so happy I finally made the trip out here—this place lives up to the hype. I’ll definitely be back soon!

I had the large jerk chicken, jerk pork combo and added 2 festivals. The food was very good and worth every dollar. I spent $29 and it was more than enough for 2 people – large portion. Line-up was orderly and service moved very well for the long line. Very good!

Ok so I was in Hollywood for a few days and was craving jerk Chicken, I came to this location after reading reviews and the food was decent. We had the triple combo and was definitely not expecting all that meat (pause) ended up giving some to a homeless guy on the beach.

Bought a couple of things fry fish was delicious but the escovitch had too much sugar in it worst it’s something they make from early to serve throughout the day so by the time you buy it the onion and carrot is really sweet with sugar with it’s not suppose to have a sugar taste, then I Ordered 3 meat combo the ribs was delicious, the chicken was ok but VERY disappointed with the pork & I love pork really lacking taste serving that large amount of food really need to ensure you prep your pork properly because it’s really lacking taste even when I placed it down for awhile you know you can go back and taste a piece and the seasoning would have traveled through the meat but it hasn’t and you shouldn’t have to depend on jerk sauces to carry off the meat, should be great by itself waste a lot of meat because of it but fast customer service. Oh & the festivals was really nice.

Chef Tally’s is a carnivore’s delight, it is the best Jerk in South Florida! It is a must have for any meat lover, if you are visiting or live in South Florida. The robust blend of jerk spices adds depth to the meat. The festival is fried in peanut oil, and tastes amazing! Service is great, lines tend to be long, but move very quickly. Call and place your order, before going. Parking is a bit sketchy, you may have to wait for someone to leave. They only offer take away, you can place an order through Grubhub.
