I ordered a 20 oz seafood gumbo with no rice for pickup. I haven’t eaten white rice in many years. When I pulled the gumbo out of the bag, the container was not full. I asked the server about it an she made up some excuse about having no rice.

I went here when I was passing through New Orleans a little while back and I’m still raving about how delicious everything was. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. It’s an unassuming and unpretentious place. Stop here, you won’t regret it!

From the walls plastered with one dollar bills to the staff and food this is always a great place to stop in. Honestly its one of the better bowls of gumbo you can get in the city and their take on it is very interesting.

Fried shrimp was pretty good. Our server was wonderful, but the server for the tables next to us was giving people all kinds of trouble. Really awkward. The shrimp creole was just okay. Not much flavor. The jambalaya tasted like ketchup.

10/10 the best jambalaya I have ever had, I would definitely recommend the Mac and cheese as a side, it was very delicious. The service here was top notch. You could taste the love in the food. I would definitely come back to eat here. The owner/chef even came out to say hi and to make sure everything was good. We appreciated the extra step he took to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you.

Wow, just wow. It was wonderful we got three different meals and shared them we had the crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, and of course, the Gumbo. We started off with a fried green tomato appetizer not realizing it would have sauce on it, it was so good we wanted to lick the plate.. We were a little nervous cuz it’s a store in a strip mall, it was worth the chance we took! The servers there were wonderful. And the bread pudding was to die for it had chunks of fruit and a delicious sauce over the top. I would rate this an 11 out of 10! So. Good. Next time we’re in New Orleans we’re going there. The photos were taken after we started tasting, they were very nicely presented.
