I was in Freeport and came across this Caribbean spot on Google Maps, so I decided to stop by. I have to say this is easily some of the best jerk chicken I’ve had on Long Island in the last 20 years. I always appreciate a solid family-run spot putting out amazing food. I ordered the jerk chicken and it did not disappoint. Prices and portions are great too, especially with food costs rising. Love seeing places like this keep things affordable. Keep it up.

This is a small restaurant with really good food and staff. The flavors are simply delicious. All the food is warm and home cooked, you can taste and smell the fresh spices when you go in. The food is so fresh that sometimes they bring it out of the kitchen piping hot. The prices are affordable and the portions are large. You cant go wrong with this place. Sometimes they have lunch specials which makes it even more attractive.

Jerk Chicken Jackpot

Came across Chef Elvis food stall on The Mile. There was a line forming in the rain.

You can smell the slow charcoal doing its magic. The jerk chicken has spectacular flavors and the plantain is so so good.

I’m glad I saw them today otherwise I would’ve not known they have a restaurant in Freeport by the LIRR.

PROS
1) authentic Jerk chicken
2) great plantains
3) big portion
4) reasonably priced
5) craving for more

CONS
1) only on The Mile for special occasions

Came here 5 pm. Jerk chicken really good but rice & beans a bit dry. Probably should have asked for gravy on the side.

This cozy restaurant has amazing food! I tried the jerk chicken. The entire meal was delicious. We did take out and it was ready within a few minutes. I wish I lived closer so that I could try other menu items! The staff was so friendly. This is definitely a place to check out if you are in the area!

Delicious food. Good amount/portion. Service was very friendly but a little slow. Decor needs updating. Street parking available but can be challenging at times; nearby parking lot helps a little.

The girl working the front was not nice at all, she didn’t acknowledge me until it was time to pay and i was charged $5.85 almost $6, for a can of ginger ale and 2 bags of big foot. Not sure what’s going on there, and I saw her ring the drink up for $1.50.
