The two chops were big and delicious. My veggie plate was soup or salad and 4 veggies. Only $12 so I thought I’d give it a try. Soup (potato and bacon) was very good. I change one of the sides to a salad for a small up charge. All of them were good. Missed not getting a meat but was worth a try.
Of course, really enjoyed the yummy croissants! Server was friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a good experience and reasonable (<$30). We’ll be back!
The Smokehouse barbecue bacon cheeseburger? Total mixed bag. You’re basically required to baptize it in barbecue sauce if you want any actual flavor. On its own, it tastes like it’s still waiting for its personality to show up. Thankfully, the barbecue sauce itself slaps, so that’s the lifeline.
Fries? Surprisingly legit. Crisp, seasoned, actually worth finishing.
And the complimentary croissant—glazed in honey butter—might be unnecessary, but it’s basically dessert disguised as a welcome gift. You won’t complain.
Tried the salmon too. Flavorful, yes… but also wandering dangerously close to Dry City. The baked potato was fine—perfectly serviceable, nothing to write home about. If you’re used to making twice-baked potatoes at home, this will feel like the stripped-down, no-frills cousin.
Overall: a perfectly “okay” dining experience. Not terrible, not memorable, but edible with a few bright spots. If you’re already nearby, go ahead. If you’re craving something life-changing, keep driving.
The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. It is rare to find such high-quality, fresh ingredients at such an affordable price point. Even though the restaurant was busy, our food arrived quickly and at the perfect temperature. We capped off the night with a signature margarita that was balanced and refreshing. If you want a reliable, delicious meal that feels like a treat without breaking the bank, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
We started with the homemade onion rings, which were crispy and perfectly seasoned—definitely a highlight. For entrees, I had the chicken tender platter, which was generously portioned and came with a tasty honey mustard sauce. My partner’s New Orleans pasta was a flavorful mix of shrimp, chicken, and sausage, though it was a touch spicy for their liking. The sides, especially the broccoli cheese casserole, were a standout, creamy and comforting. The service was friendly and attentive, though we noticed a slight delay during the dinner rush, which kept this from being a five-star experience.
Overall, Cheddar’s offered solid, scratch-made comfort food at a price that felt like a steal. It was the perfect fuel for our fun escape room experience at Escapology Tempe later that evening. We’d definitely return for another meal before our next adventure!
