We had a large party. With reservations, we were seated over an hour later, separate tables. It seems like that could have happened much earlier.
It was my favorite treat your self resteraunt we stopped eating there because the ribs which were our favorite had becom dry and over cooked.
They did not surprise me.
The usually great Crescent rolls were flat but still Tasty.
Spinach dip was good.
Cheese dip was ok.
Ran out baked potatos
I ordered the ribs, which were described on the menu as “fall-off-the-bone,” but they were definitely not. They were tough and did not have the tenderness you’d expect from that description. The fries were extremely salty almost overpowering.
My daughter ordered the salmon and shrimp with a Caesar salad. She mentioned that the salmon tasted overly sweet, almost like too much sugar had been added to the sauce by accident. It just didn’t taste balanced or fresh.
The only thing we truly enjoyed was the sweet tea. For a $60 bill, the overall quality of the food simply wasn’t worth it.
I hope this location takes quality control more seriously because the expectations set by the
I was told by the manager Kaitlynn Magee on duty that I should have gave my number even though i was staying inside….. she said we text people that there table is not ready and then we text people about there table …. I said I am sitting here no need to text me. Which they were calling people by name as well. When I finally got my name call it had been about 30 minutes instead of 10-15….. IT ALL HAPPENED BECAUSE THEY WERE SHORT OF STAFF AND IT HAS TO FALL ON THE CUSTOMER…. Bad customer service….. I CALLED GUEST RELATIONS HAD MY FOOD PACKED AND PURCHASED MY FOOD AND LEFT …. Then I SAID OH NO THATS ALLOWING THEM TO TREAT CUSTOMER LIKE THIS….. call the store from the parking lot and told Kailtynn you know I just wanted me money back meet me at the front desk because I will not patronize a place that do not give great service. She said I can’t give you your money back we don’t do that I will give you a gift card…. She said no need to come in I had the food right here for her but she won’t let me come in and said she has to email the card and it will take 24hrs. She said if I don’t get it to call back….. real right …… BAD BAD SERVICE BY MANAGEMENT
Cons: Food was TERRIBLE. I remember this use to be one of my favorite places. I ordered the Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. The serving size of mashed potatoes and corn was so beyond ridiculous it was laughable. I even asked the waitress about it. I wish I had gotten a picture of it. It looked like it was about 1/4 cup. When I asked she said they actually made sure everyone got 4 oz. First of all, it did not look like 4 oz which is 1/2 a cup. Second of all, I want to go to a restaurant that makes sure their customers leave FULL, not being cheap with their mashed potatoes and corn, food grief. Half of my plate was empty for crying out loud!
My son ordered the beer battered fish & shrimp with a “loaded” baked potato and “seasoned”rice. The shrimp was ICE cold. I dont think it could have gotten any colder. I think it came straight from the freezer. His potato was basically raw, it was hard as a rock, no joke. As for the loaded part. Small amount of sour cream and cheese. No bacon bits. And the seasoned rice had zero seasoning.
My drink had floaters in it.
But my daughter had the chicken tenders and fries and she said it was very good.
I will not be back. Funny thing is, I havent been here in a while, but now that I have, I remember having these problems the last time I was there. So I will remember this time NOT to go back. It was NOT just a bad day at Cheddars. They truly have gone downhill.
If you’re new to Cheddars, you don’t have anything to compare to it to. But if you ate there way back when, you know what Im talking about.
When the food finally arrived, it was decent, but the overall service experience definitely took away from the visit. I hope they can improve both the timeliness and customer service, because that makes a big difference.
