As the leaders in drive-thru for over 30 years Checkers & Rally’s locations are currently open and ready to serve our guests. We can provide our guests with the additional safety of an enclosed kitchen and limited personal contact – whether you choose to drive up, order ahead online, or have our food delivered. In response to concerns around the Coronavirus we have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system and are limiting the number of people on our patio and at our walk-up windows. We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper handwashing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves as we continue to serve our guests.

If I could give less stars I would. The service was subpar and very slow. My order was wrong, yes it was a special order. The price charged was different than the menu price. The burgers were so cold that cheese wasn’t melted. On a positive note the fries were really good.
The seating area was on the verge of a disaster area. Not near enough seating. Only one place to sit a group of 4 but only 3 chairs. Counter staff was constantly moving trash cans from the back through the eating area.
I did tell the manager about these issues and he just seemed more inclined to get back to his buddy’s from Walmart than address my concerns of being over charged or eliminating the disaster area of what looked to be an overstaffed incompetent cook staff struggling in the back to make 3 bad hamburgers.

Ordered chili cheese fries. The guy behind the register forgot the chili. Both employees that I saw were obviously high as kites. The cheese fries I ended up were decent I guess. Do not recommend. Also the burgers have recently shrunk in size tremendously while price has remained the same

The fries were good but everything else was a disaster. Pretty sure the burgers were great value premade patties also I think they microwaved them because mine was still partially frozen while my wife and son just got cold burgers. Ordered chicken boxes for my two younger children and they wouldn’t eat it cause it tasted like fish. They did make the order as I requested though. I guess if I ever go back to this location I’ll ask for a warm meal. Hopefully there’s no upcharge.

Very slow service to not be crowded at all close to closing time. Wasn’t going to dine in anyway but dining area was pretty dirty. Cashier was blah but the person who actually gave me my food and served my drink was very pleasant. Only thing keeping this short and sweet review at a 3 is that my order was correct, prepared well and I LOVE checkers.

They got a simple order wrong, when asking for a large meal the cashier asked, “You sure about that?”, I got ignored for someone else who was at a different station and walked up after me, generally slow service, and subpar food. Will never eat here again as long as the rude servers are still employed.

I ordered my food at 9:30 Pm, at 10:14 they finally got my order finished. How hard is it to place 3 strips of bacon on 2 hamburger patties then place them all between 2 buns?? This has got to be the slowest place in Gardendale. 7 employees and still can’t get a burger in under 30 minutes, that is ridiculous. I encourage everyone to drive 3/10’s of a mile further to Burger king or McDonalds.

I paid $15.60 for 2 Big Buford meals. One with no onions and one with no tomato. We had to stand and wait for out food. EVERY table in the place was nasty. Paper all over the floor. Got our order, our fries were cooked in old cooking oil, my sandwich had onions and my husband’s had tomato. The sandwich was cold and the hamburger patties were smaller than the hamburger patties on a McDonald’s regular hamburger. NEVER again!!!

Checkers is a great way to feed the very hungry. Their burgers are divine! The prices are are low compared to the food you receive. The food always seems to be fresh not put under warming lights. The staff here has always been wonderful to my daughter and myself. Since putting Checkers in our Walmart in the Gardendale store, we tend to stop and eat lunch or sometimes dinner after a long shopping trip. Convenience and excellent food.

I ordered the number 11 Texas road house burger. I have ordered this many times both at this location and the one in center point. When I got my order it was the wrong thing. They stood there and insisted that was the way the burger came. Did not even offer to switch it out for something else. They pretty much called me a lier.

Checkers / Rally’s has about the best fast food burger you can find. Service is always quick, and the staff at this location has always been very professional and a step above what you’d expect at fast food, especially in a Wal-Mart.
