Very nice place. We stopped in on our way home from Indiana. Brittany was an awesome server and the food was great except for the fresh berry cup which had some berries that were past their prime and had a moldy taste. I ordered cheesy grits and 2 poached eggs which were awesome although the cup of grits was quite small. Forgot to take a picture. Got a picture of most of my partners sausage gravy breakfast pizza – now THAT was awesome. Didn’t realize how large it would be. All in all a nice breakfast and quaint atmosphere.

I have loved check please for years, it being a lovely and local place to grab a bite. The quality has been steadily declining the past few years, but I’m still happy to shop local. What I’m not happy to do is consume a corn dog with uncooked, raw batter in the center that makes it taste foul. I received the item via delivery and everything was hot and seemingly good quality until the first bite… Appetite lost.
Edit: and the saga continues with what feels like a thin wire or piece of plastic on my fries…

My husband and I love Check Please! We have gone multiple times. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, and it always feels clean! We love being able to draw on the table and getting the seasonal coffee brews. Today we were served by Amy and she made sure we had a very lovely time!

I look forward to being in town visiting family so I have a reason to come here. They always have really cool specials, and all of the build-your-own options give great choices. I always end up ordering way too much, but for someone wanting a regular sized meal they are priced excellent.

Our server was amazing but brought order out completely wrong! My order came out with cheese added and my cousins order came out with out cheese. With server allergy to gluten and dairy and get an omelette with cheese on it could have been very bad. I went to take a bit and noticed it. This kind of mistake (after being warned of issue) is not ok to just say sorry. You would have thought a discount would have been offered but all we receive was a 50.00 bill for 2 omelettes and a gluten free French toast. My first plate had a lot more fried potatoes than replace plate had. The food was good. At the price, it should have been given a discount or even free as we both pretty much ate separately due to it taking roughly another 5-10 minutes to come out. Little disappointed as I was looking forward to given a good review today as normally I enjoy eating here…

Really enjoyed our brunch at Check Please cafe. Everything was delicious! The pumpkin pancakes were sooo good! I appreciate that they use locally sourced, unprocessed ingredients and that their food is scratch made! They even include some delicious vegetarian options on the menu. I highly recommend!!

First time going here. If there’s a wait, that’s a good thing! The food was excellent and the server was wonderful. I will definitely be going back!

Nice breakfast joint with lunch and dinner options too. You can build your own breakfast by choosing platter, sandwich, or omelette. Now I’m hungry just thinking about it. The mocha latte is delicious (I get it in a to go cup so I can take it with me when I leave). I also had their special pasta dish with chicken. It may have been for a limited time but it was good. They always have monthly specials! Another time I got a sandwich with a side salad and I also enjoyed that. The servers are all very kind and the kids love that they can draw all over the table top covered with a big sheet of paper. The place is small so if you don’t want to wait, you should go during non busy times. Very cute place for a family, couple, or you to eat by yourself.

Wonderful service! I placed an online order and was not able to make the pickup time due to an appointment running much later than expected. I received a phone call and worked out a new pickup time, and Brittany said she would have my food remade and ready for my new pickup time. I did not expect that at all and was very pleasantly surprised by their kindness to make sure my meal was still fresh and delicious despite my late arrival!

I was so excited to try this place! We decided to invite our family to go for breakfast. Unfortunately they state that they do not take reservations, as we had a somewhat large party of 7. We showed up around 10:30 and there was a wait of over 40 mins.. took almost an hour to get seated. The place is pretty small but decorated very cute. The waitress was not very friendly at all, my husband says that’s by design because it’s a small town diner feel but I didn’t really get that vibe. The latte was delicious! I got the caramel latte. I ordered the pumpkin French toast even though it was lunch time by the time we finally got seated. It was okay except there was a super strong taste of olive oil. We also ordered the breakfast egg rolls which left a lot to be desired- kind of flavorless. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal though! Overall a cute little place and seems to do very well! Will we return? Most likely not.
