Wasn’t sure what to expect with a steakhouse that’s a sports bar but really, what’s better than steak with sports? The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the environment is very nice. At the end of the night, it also becomes a night club! Highly recommend the prime rib.

Love this place! The owner and cook “Tiny” were very friendly and accomodating! Tiny seasoned and cooked our steaks to perfection! The atmosphere was very clean and stylish and the menu is hilarious! The menu items are named different slang phrases for lets say, adult activities. It took me a while to get back to the business of ordering food lol. The drinks were great, wonderful place to have some good food and fun! Definitely will come back here!

Nom Nom! What a lovely gem! No more chains , I prefer local business. I enjoyed my lunch , I had the “nooner” It was a steak sandwich and fries. Perfect for lunch. Not too heavy. The chef also knows what he is doing. He takes pride in cutting these steaks.
The location is clean, and has been made over from the previous location. I recommend hitting this place up during the week for lunch. Break up the boring week!

I like eating steak and I heard a lot about the steaks at Cheaters. That they were really good. I had a long day, didn’t feel like cooking so after work I stopped in and placed an order to go. The wait time was minimal, I had a cold while I waited. I like my steak well done. It was made to perfection. You were right Tiny, It was so flavorful that I didn’t have to use steak sauce. ☺ The baked potato OMG! I like baked potatos and I usually eat the peeling and all but this potato was huge. I only ate a quarter of it. The portion size on the steak and the potato is well worth stopping in and eating. The place is spacy, clean with a friendly atmosphere. My meal was phenomenal.

Don’t let the name Cheaters scare you away from trying this place. When you get closer the sign says Steakhouse and Sports Bar.
Everyone there has been very friendly. We first went on a Sunday to try the Steak Sandwich special. It was DELICIOUS! Unlike most steak sandwiches, this one was made with little chunks of medium rare, tender bites of steak.
We followed up with a visit on a Tuesday (today). Every Tuesday you can order ANY steak on the menu for a mere $10.00 and add a lobster tail for another $10.00 (the tail was small, but it is only $10.00). It comes with either a baked potato or steak fries and a salad! It was tender, well seasoned and perfectly cooked to order! They also have shrimp skewers.
The steaks are cleverly named but don’t show the sizes. I asked Tiny, the chef, what they were. Most of the steaks are 14 oz, the filets are 11 oz and 5 oz.
You can order a Sancho (a whole jalapeno, roasted and delicious) for $1.00.
The only drawback are the chairs. They feel like they lean forward and are pretty uncomfortable. They know this and said they couldn’t pass up due to the price. They have some smaller high tables with padded chairs and 1 booth that appears to seat 6-7.
The volume level of the music was low so you can easily talk to each other. They put on the DJ music later and it was still very tolerable. If you have the AMI app on your smartphone, you can play their jukebox from your table.
They also have a large bar with what appeared to me to have not enough chairs at it, so the arm room is ample.
I HIGHLY recommend all to try out this new gem in Federal Heights. Let’s keep them in business!!
Now for a follow up. I am disappointed. I just found a great place nearby for steaks and they are changing! They are changing to Kenny G’s 2.0 and taking the steak deal off their menu. Tiny is still going to cook, but from what I hear it is going to yet another Mexican menu. Now I LOVE Mexican food, but there is plenty of that around already. I just hope the prices, and noise levels, aren’t too high. I will give them a try as I like to support our local businesses. More to follow…

My husband and I chose this place for datenight and we were very impressed. The service was awesome, the food was absolutely amazing and we will definately be back. If you are looking for a great steak and drinks you will love this place.

Amazing steaks, incredible value. Cooks and service care about their work. If you can get past the silly names on the menu and unfortunate name of the entire establishment and… trust that it’s not a strip bar (which it totally super looks like based on name, location and exterior) then your in for a treat as the food is really great.

Just visited this place and very disappointed. Very nice setting and clean, but does not cater to women clientele. The gentleman serving the drinks, who claimed to be the manager, did not know how to make any mix drinks. His excuse was that he was not the regular bartender. I ordered a glass of champagne/wine, but they did not have any available and he said, “is this some type of celebration?”. He asked us to look at his menu which clearly played off of the name “Cheaters”, but not impressive at all, it only creeped us out more. Ewhhh!! There is a liquor store right next store, not even 25′ feet, and he could not inconvenience himself to cater to his patrons. I also made him aware of the recommendations and how he can better cater to his clientle, but he didn’t seemed interest it to hear my suggestions on what women would want. He clearly missed the point! Will not be back and do not recommend!
