A charming and cozy place serving traditional authentic cuisine, situated on Hallandale Beach Blvd close to the beach.
Offers classic recipes with just the right spices and ideal textures. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot for families and friends to gather. While most dishes are familiar, some recipes depend on region-specific ingredients, inviting diners to explore a distinctive regional culinary touch.
Knowing that it’s not always easy to work with kosher meats, my partner was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the shish kebab was, especially the lamb. I had a whole branzino cooked on charcoal and was very happy with my choice. I also found most of the prices to be reasonable.
And yes – potatoes with mushrooms. That was my favourite!
I found the service to be a little bit too relaxed. There was a group of people celebrating a special occasion, and I feel we didn’t really receive enough attention. Not that we were very needy, but it felt that way.
Overall – Great job. Will definitely come back.

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Uzbek flavors — especially the plov and kebabs. It’s fully kosher, which makes it even more special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible. I’m still thinking about this meal hours later. The Samarkand Pilaf was out of this world — rich, fragrant, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the most memorable dishes I’ve had in a long time. The soup was on another level too. Deep flavor, comforting, and perfectly balanced. You can tell they take pride in every detail.
Everything we ordered was fantastic, but those two dishes alone are worth a trip. Portions were generous, flavors were bold, and the whole experience felt special. If you’re anywhere near Hallandale, do yourself a favor and eat here. I’m already planning my next visit.

I must express my disappointment with the dining experience. While the food looked appealing and appetizing, it was unfortunately served cold. When I mentioned to the waitress that the dish was delicious but not warm enough, she offered to reheat it in the microwave. I did not expect such a method in a restaurant of this caliber.
In short, the food was tasty yet cold, which diminished the overall enjoyment of the meal- especially since we were quite hungry and chose to remain seated. As a result, we do not plan to return.

Excellent kosher spot! Hayhana Samarkand Glatt Kosher delivered authentic flavors — the plov was tender, hearty, and perfectly seasoned, and the lepeshka bread was fresh and so tasty. Everything felt homemade and high quality. Definitely recommended if you’re craving real Samarkand-style food.

Wow!! Every dish we had there was bursting with flavor. It was my first time eating this kind of food and everything was spiced so well and tasted very fresh. Our server was very nice and attentive and I loved the chilled atmosphere. 10/10 definitely going back.

We’ve had two dinners at this new Uzbek restaurant in one week, both so good. We had three different kabobs (chicken, liver and lula), fried potatoes with mushrooms, a trio of salads (carrot, beet, and cabbage) and the warm, fresh bread. On our second visit we got the trio of salads again (I couldn’t stop thinking about it), lagman soup (a hearty meat soup with hand-pulled noodles) and chicken tabaka with fries (crispy garlicky chicken grilled under a brick). All the food tastes homemade in the best way. The service here is warm and attentive, the servers are happy to explain and reccomend dishes. The setting is casual, we sat on the large covered patio which is nicely seperated from Hollandale avenue with a decorative fence. There is live music even on the weekdays, for us it added to the atmosphere. We’ve already recommended this place to all our local friends and family.

This place is nice and cozy, our server was excellent very professional!! we ordered the rice with the lamb as a main dish which came with so much oil and too too much cumin we ordered the whole Bronzino fish which was supposed to come a whole fish fried. The waiter warned us that the fish can take up to 30 minutes to make, which I had no problem with that. We received the appetizers and after 25 minutes we got the rice with the lamb and my fish came a small piece of fillet… The mistake was the owner/chef !!!!!
He came to us and said if you want, I can make you the whole fish. It’s going to take between 20 and 25 minutes or if you keep this fillet, I will give you 10% off discount.
Of course, I was very upset since my son had his food and now I will have to wait another 25 minutes for my fish.
I was very upset and I told him that the 10% off discount is not gonna make me feel good if I have to wait another almost 30 minutes, for my dinner. The owner just said OK and left. Of course I’m disappointed, but I was not going to argue with him over a fish. Overall, I give this restaurant one star, but the waiter got five stars. He was the best thing at the place.!!!
I hope the owner/chef will read this review and remember if you made a mistake you leave the plate on the table and tell the customer this is on the house since you waited 25 minutes for your food and I made a mistake

If you’re looking for the best shishkabab in town, Chayhana Samarkand is the place to go! The skewers are grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The seasoning and smoky aroma take it to another level. The portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. On top of that, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I crave top-notch shishkabab!
