Yet another excellent random Google Map find. I was looking for a fancier vegetarian place to take my wife for Valentines day and this popped up on my Maps. The food was awesome, we got a few small dishes, (pho rolls, garlic and chili tofu, mango salad) and some entrees (sesame beef with lotus root, tamarind pho, chay vermicelli noodle) to share and it was all very flavorful and delicious. The staff was very attentive, kept our waters full and checking to make sure we were doing alright. The restaurant is on the smaller side giving a hole in the wall/secret spot vibe but very charming and authentic. I’d recommend making reservations whenever going as it was busy. To sum up, if you’re looking for a fine dining vegetarian Asian fusion restaurant, this is a place you want to go!

We had a blast, the food was so good and portions were super generous.
The staff and owner were so nice, attentive and always happy to help.
The only the food taste good, but it looks good too.
The atmosphere was nice, not too noisy and we could talk freely and easily.
Will definitely return, highly recommended.

Went here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The starters we ordered were very flavorful. We ordered vegan tropical rolls and fried chilli tofu. In main course, we ordered tamarind pho and sesame beef with Lotus root. Both the dishes were very sweet even after asking for being spicy. The main course was average for me and could have been better.

Phenomenal vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the heart of Bellevue! Loved that everything was organic, which most places at this price point are still not doing. The atmosphere is bright and lofted, yet intimate and warm. Lots of wood (even the menus!), and very welcoming. Our server Linh was super attentive, and the co-owner Long was a great host as well, informing us of the nuances of each dish. The experience was more akin to a prix fixe restaurant than a normal off-the-menu place. Can’t wait to go back! Wish the East Bay had a restaurant like this.

Unique Vietnamese vegetarian dishes. Had the Tropical rolls (5 star), the Chay’s Spaghetti (4 star), Sesame Beef with Lotus Root (4 star), and the Tararind Pho (4 star). The pho dish had an interesting tang kick to it. This place had a lot of unique flavors. The imitation beef was really, really good. Left very satisfied and full. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other dishes!

Mediocre food and service, wouldn’t go again. Visited for a birthday dinner. Food is presented nicely but that’s the only thing I liked about the place. The service was slow and inattentive, despite us being the only customers in the entire restaurant. The food was far too sweet for me. Asking for mild spice shouldn’t automatically mean extra sweet food. The ambiance is decent. The prices they charge are not justified imo. We tried several dishes and drinks, the only one I liked was the salted egg tofu. The purple rice was decent.

I rarely dish out 5 stars, but I believe this place deserves it.
It’s vietnamese cuisine through a vegetarian lens.
To me, hands down best All vegetarian Vietnamese food spot I’ve been to in the greater Seattle area that I’ve tried.

Granted my perspective is limited to the 3 items I managed to try, so my overall opinion could change as I try more dishes in the future.

Small plates:
-Saltes Egg Tofu
Aside from the presentation making it look very appetizing. This thing delivered on flavor. The bite I enjoyed was when I purposefully took off the red pepper garnish and coated all sides of the tofu in the sauce. Then placed the garnish back on top and shoveled the whole thing in my mouth.
It was savory,it was salty, it had that umami. That slight crunch from the coating, that crisp freshness from the pepper.

-Crispy chili garlic fried tofu
It had good flavor but I wanted to speak more on the texture and mouth feel. I feel like with tofu dishes you expect a certain texture. Whether it was intended or not. I appreciated that the tofu had 2 distinct textures. Different pieces had that chewy, somewhat shreddy, meaty quality that you had to gnaw on for lack of a better word. The other pieces were that typical firm exterior with a gummable texture that your teeth would cut through easily. Overall good sensory experience.

Large Plate/Entree:
-Vermicelli Noodle Bowl or Bun Thit nuong
First and foremost, how did they make a fish sauce with no fish? I need that recipe.
Secondly it’s a solid dish with all the elements you’d expect from a typical bun thit nuong, but with meatless alternatives.
Portion size was decent but I wanted slightly more. I might be saying that because I’m a glutton.
Fried rolls, good crisp/crunchy texture and filling ratio.
Seitan had a great chew mimicking that meaty quality.
Noodles were al dente and not soggy. Veggies were fresh and brightened up the dish.

All in all, yeah if I was vegetarian, this would be a mainstay for me. Even though I’m not, I’d still make it back. Especially since there are a lot of other dishes I’d like to try as well as some of the drinks.

Btw, Big ups to the friendly staff.
Anyways, til we meet again. Happy future eating.

Vegan food this good! Its been a long time. Vietnamese origin food which is great at taste and also price.

The dishes are very well priced and aesthetically pleasing.

The staff are super nice and patiently explain everything about the food, taste and flavor profile and ingredients.

Highly Recommend – Chay’s spaghetti. Creamy heaven with mushrooms and vegan meat balls.

I enjoy lunch here. They have casual relaxed atmosphere. Staffs were warm and attentive. The food came out surprisingly fast, and the presentation was beautiful (Caramelized Eggplant and the Veggie Curry). The dishes I ordered were well-balanced, though a few of the fried decorative components (like the crispy noodles under the rolls) seemed to have been pre-fried ahead of time, so they lost their crunch by the time they hit the table. Not a dealbreaker. Parking was in Soma Tower garage or street park.

delicious salted egg tofu –

I ordered takeout, and the process was fast and easy. The staff was super friendly and even offered me water, which I had to decline since I was in a hurry. The space looks nice and has great views, but it’s unlikely I’ll come back again—my husband and I usually need meat in our meals, haha.

The salted egg tofu was delicious, but the portion felt small for $14. Especially considering that egg tofu isn’t particularly expensive or difficult to cook. Still, it was a good experience to try a new restaurant.

P.S. It was a bit difficult to find the place because Google Maps was showing random locations. It’s actually located at the corner of 106th Ave and NE 2nd Street, with the entrance on NE 2nd Street.
