I’ve visited several restaurants in the area for “Mexican” food, but I keep coming back here. It’s a rustic atmosphere and I mean that genuinely. You can take the family for dinner or you can stop there for lunch. This dish came out and what I ordered or at least what I expected to come out was totally different. I ordered a custom dish and while I wasn’t expecting this, it was delicious! Another one of my faves here is the avocado salsa. It’s a perfect spice level and flavor. The complementary house salsa is delicious as well.

I love this place! Their chips are thick and salsa is thick also and so flavorful. They have their own distinct flavor and their quality has been consistent for me for years. I try to get a variety of their options. The ceviche is great, the chile Colorado delicious! Their Gordita’s are full of flavor and I really enjoy their spicy sauces. So so good. Try it if you haven’t!

This is the most authentic Mexican food we have found since moving to the Midwest from Arizona/California a year ago. We have enjoyed it so much that we have been back 3 times in a week. Every time we try something else and it is consistently amazing!!!! Thank you for actually seasoning your food!!! The spice levels are fantastic! The salsas are amazing!!! Try them all! You cannot go wrong eating here.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the quesabirria tacos—absolutely the best item on the menu and worth returning for. The guacamole (large portion) was also a standout, clearly made with care and full of fresh flavor.
Unfortunately, the beans tasted canned and lacked that homemade touch. The salsa had good flavor but would probably be better served warm. The horchata was sweet and delicious, a perfect complement to the tacos.
On the downside, the enchiladas were underwhelming, and the steak was gristly and tough to chew. Service was friendly—our waitress was sweet and even tried to speak Spanish, which was a nice effort.

I’ve been to multiple “authentic Mexican” restraunts through out the four states since moving here from Texas, and I can say I will never be back to one of those restaurants. The staff were very friendly and their service was fast and caring. The chips were fresh as well as the salsa, as well as the other 3 salsas that came with my meal which was well plated, and very tasteful and satisfying to eat. I will definitely be back and spread the word to any family and friends I have.

I am changing my previous review on this place. The first time I went a few years ago it was great but now the past two times I have went it has been fairly disappointing, from the poor prices, to the food not meeting quality standards. I got authentic barbacoa and it was 19 dollars for a small portion of meat and they didn’t even tell me until I got my food that they were out of corn tortillas. Along with the meat itself not meeting expectations and lacking in flavor. The quality of this place has seemed to go down and I rarely have to change my reviews of restaurants but I have grown tired of recommending this place to others just for it to disappoint.
