Great place for good food and drinks! Matt and Megan are now our top pals. The Bloody Mary with and entire appetizer tray on top is awesome. Bacon, brisket egg roll, deviled egg, etc.

You have to try the deviled eggs, the chili sauce with it pairs perfectly. Fries are crispy and light. Their whiskey lemonade is my new favorite drink as well. Servers can be infrequent but they get a lot of patrons with just a couple of servers so I can respect that. Beware of the wasps outside, they’ll definitely come for you this time of year also definitely gotta shout out their pickle spear, so crispy and fresh id believe they made it themselves

Got sat on a very uncomfortable picnic table and shortly after 2 bench tables opened up an after multiple request server wouldn’t move into one.
Horrible customer service!
It actually felt we were targeted for being Hispanic by our server Mellisa.

We were never trying to be difficult. My wife politely asked the hostess if we could be reseated, but she was told no—because our food order had already been placed. Once most of our food arrived, we noticed two open tables nearby (as shown in the attached photo) and asked our waitress if we could move. She suggested we speak with the hostess again, but we explained that we had already tried and been denied. (we never declined)
What’s frustrating is that we weren’t asking for much—just to move to a more comfortable spot. We were seated at a picnic table, which was uncomfortable for my in-laws, who are 83 and 89 years old. We came to enjoy a nice outdoor meal with family, including my brother-in-law visiting from Arizona, and instead felt that our comfort and experience were dismissed.
It’s disappointing that the staff showed little flexibility or concern for customer service. Sometimes, small accommodations can make a big difference, especially for elderly guests. We expected better.

New to the area and our family thought we would have lunch at the Chatter box. I would have liked to leave a review about the food, but it didn’t even get that far because this restaurant discriminated against us because we had kids. When we entered we were told that the entire restaurant seating area upstairs was closed for a private party. There were no signs posted inside or out so I don’t believe that was completely true. Then he told us that we couldn’t sit at any of the tables in the downstairs area because there was a bar and we had kids. There are plenty of restaurants that have bars and allow families with children to sit at tables in their restaurants. It’s not like we wanted to sit at a bar with our kids, we wanted a table. This is completely wrong to do to a family and discrimination against children. I can’t believe that the Village of Long Grove is okay with a business like this operating in their town. We will definitely never go to this restaurant again or to shop Long Grove’s downtown area.

This is such a fun spot. I came here yesterday with my family and we had a great time. It’s decorated for the holidays super cute, the beer was tasty and so was the food. Our server was really nice too! I’ve lived in the area a long time and this was my first visit, will definitely be back.

1st time in. Food was outstanding… one of the best burgers I’ve had. We also had some wings of various flavors that were very tasty… well cooked.
Service was mediocre. We had multiple people waiting on us and it took a long time to get to order, get drink refills, etc.
Fun eclectic atmosphere in the bar area. Did not get upstairs to the restaurant.

Visiting family so we stopped in at Chatterbox. Great atmosphere, prompt service and outstanding food. I had the bee hive cheddar burger with their homemade chips and a Bell’s Amber ale. Great tasting food, a must repeat and a welcome home. Stay classy Long Grove.

We enjoyed a delightful Friday dinner featuring enchiladas and corn tacos, which were both satisfying and filling. For appetizers, we had the loaded nachos, which were decent. The restaurant offers a wonderful experience, especially if you enjoy live music during your meal. We dined on the second floor, and the ambiance was fantastic, highlighted by the impressive display of hundreds of beer cans neatly organized on the ceiling. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

The owners are hands on, very personable & so kind. Becca we always come in for, she is the BEST. The whole staff is amazing, Mari, Lizzie & Felicia! Great pours & even bigger love! I would recommend any family, friend, couple to come experience chatterbox, see you there!
