Stopped here for lunch because of the salad bar. For those that see this, they haven’t had one since COVID. It’s still worth a visit.
They were out of the stuffed peppers, but the stuffed cabbage wasn’t a bad replacement. Stewed tomatoes overtop 3 stuffed cabbage leaves with mashed potatoes.
The fried chicken was made to order. Crust was crispy and lightly seasoned; meat was juicy. The thighs were small but getting two made up for it.
Both meals came with two sides and complimentary green beans. We had salads, not shown, made with the most random sized cuts of lettuce I’ve ever encountered, cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. Fresh and crispy, just awkward and hard to get a good fork full. Also not shown was the potato salad because it didn’t last long. It was homemade, loaded with hard boiled egg. I would have broken the yolks up more and blended them in, but not everyone has to cook like me.
All-in-all, a good meal at a random find while traveling.

Super good experience. Really nice restaurant with a family friendly vibe. Our waitress was great! She was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and piping hot! Great prices with very generous portions. Definitely recommend and will visit again while in the area.

We eat at Charly’s regularly. Went for lunch, my husband had the taco salad and I had the cabbage rolls (they are one of my go tos). I will say they have the best cabbage rolls around, in ny opinion. I would have given them a 5 but they use instant mashed potatoes. Our waitress, Marla is on of our favorites (we also love Kim). My husband enjoyed the taco salad. One of the biggest reasons we go here is because the prices are some of the mist reasonable and the portions are pretty good sized.

Extremely disappointing. Ordered a club sandwich with fries. Asked the server to have the mayo on the side, she responds nasty by saying “well that’s how it comes”. The club had burnt toast. The server never followed up after she dropped the food off, empty drinks the whole time and no ketchup supplied, since our server did a drop and run.
