All these years and this was our first time! As soon as you walk in the experience starts! I thought I walked in to my Uncle Frank’s funeral but remembered he’s been dead for years!! The foyer reminds you of a funeral
parlor which was perfect, it gave us jokes on the way in and out!! Loved the
lay out of this joint…it has different dining areas which for me is perfect…I’m Google famous!! Yes, it’s a little dated but that’s what made it a unique experience! I even saw pics of the Underground Railroad upstairs in Charlotte’s bedroom ! Our server Megan was excellent, so nice!! She took the time to joke with us and answer any questions we had! I had a Manhattan cocktail because my new glasses are from the Harry Caray collection ! Food was very good and we had a great family New Year’s Eve dinner!! The Fluke Flounder was !! Great job, Megan!! We will be back… to sit at the bar, me and Elton at the piano can try each others glasses on while we sing a song !!!

My wife and I ate here for the first time last night and don’t think we’ll be going back. We had a reservation for 7:00, got there around 5 minutes early to find that they might not have a table for us. They did have a table after all and were seated at 7:00. However, it wasn’t until 7:15 that someone came over to give us water then waited until 7:35 for a waitress to take our order. Around 8:15 a different waitress came over to take our order. While it was new year’s eve and they were very busy, they seemed to be incredibly disorganized with no communication or system. Aside from all of that, another couple were seated next to us right before we got our food and the husband was loudly calling people bums for not dressing the way the way he thought they should be dressed. In addition, he was trying to figure out if one of the servers were “legal” and went as far as to ask her where she was from and said that he appreciated that she had a job and proceeded to try to tip her for what he thought was an upstanding immigrant. That was in addition to all of the Fox News talking points we had to listen to them talk about. I understand that you can’t choose who is seated next to you, that was just the icing on the cake for what was a poor night and poor first impression. My wife liked the chicken dish she ordered and my pasta dish was good but cold. All in all, it was a long expensive night for poor service and mediocre food.

Our baby shower yesterday could not have been more perfect thanks to Jim and Katrina. These owners, their staff, the venue, and the menu provide a perfect place to have any event. I have had and been to other events there. Planning with them was easy, the staff were experienced to perfection, and the food was outstanding in freshness, quality, and affordability. Special thanks to Joan and our other two waitresses for helping me run the event and for being perfectly attentive to our needs. Thanks to all of you. ***** 5 stars to Charlottes.

We arrived early (not realizing they don’t open until 4 on Tuesdays. They were still cleaning the restaurant (and doing a thorough job), but we were still greeted warmly and welcomed to wait in the lounge.
The retro-vibe, soothing music was perfect in the background.
We were seated at our table at 4 on the dot. Being a chilly and rainy day, the hot toddies and coffee hit the spot.
The bread was warm and fresh and was accompanied by butter, flavor filled oil AND ratatouille.
The soups are homemade and tasted like it. It was piping hot. The clam chowder was very good and the snapper was some of the best we’ve had in years.
The salads were crisp, fresh, and to our liking, included cucumbers, radish, red onion and chick peas. The classic French and Bleu cheese dressings were absolutely delicious.
That early on a Tuesday you can pick from three different menus, the options and discounts are plentiful.
We highly recommend the pork steak, the baked cod, mashed potatoes (homemade and with a few lumps :-)), and Brussel sprouts.
The portions are quite generous. We brought half our dinners and all of our desserts home.
While there and peeping what the other patrons ordered, we definitely decided that next time we will try their famous crab cakes (no filler) and the pot roast.
Last, but definitely not least, a HUGE shout out to Tracy, she was kind, patient, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Very nice pretty atmospheric restaurant. Relaxing vibes and there were a lot of people there but we were taken care of so well. Our server JR was incredible and so kind. Really clean place and amazing food. Definitely somewhere I want to come back to!

Famous crab cake – really good crab cake served in a bed of creamy sauce. The crab cake has large lumps of crab which I really do enjoy.
Cajun swordfish – the fish was cooked well, served on a bed of rice with some olives, sun dried tomatoes and green chickpeas. The dish tasted good because of the strong flavours from the olives and tomatoes.

We had my father in laws Celebration of Life at Charlotte’s. I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful it was. The staff at the front of house were so kind. The food and the room were perfect and very comfortable. The wait staff was amazing and I don’t have enough kinds words about JR He was the perfect human for our family and this celebration. He made everyone feel at home. He was funny, Kind, Thoughtful. I felt like he was part of the family. Thank you for the delicious food, staff and the way we felt at home.

This is a wonderful place that really cares about providing a great experience! The food is good, the bar is fun, and they have an awesome happy hour. They’ve spent so much effort decorating the place that they almost overdid it! And it feels a little like a funeral home as you walk in… LOL. But this effort is good thing. It is apparent in everything about this restaurant and you can feel it when you are here.
