Food was a little lackluster but the friendly service and great atmosphere made up for it. I know it’s a resort town but food and portions could have been better for the price. The service and vibe was good though. Would eat here again and recommend the green chili and their salsa is awesome.

This place was great! It had a huge inside and a lovely patio both with views of the lake! They have a huge bar and lots of yummy drinks! My wife had a bloody mary and I had a mango marg and a mojito! The mango marg was good, a little sweet though! The bloody mary was awesome and the mojito was meh. The food was really good! The dos xx fish tacos were amazing and the chimichanga was also good! definitely will be a regular stop for us when we are in town!

This is a great place for bite to eat in Grand Lake. It was a cold and quiet night in March 2023 when we visited. The staff was warm and welcoming and the food hot and delicious. The food is your typical Mexican style – which is one my favorites (I can eat it everyday and not get tired of it). We left full and satisfied.

The food was good. The restaurant has a beautiful location, the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service was not good and kind of strange. It’s seat yourself which is fine, we had a large group and had to arrange our own tables which is also fine. Whomever ordered water got plastic cups and a container of server your own water. We got a stack of plastic cups, no ice. And silverware was brought in a stainless cup was has to hand out our own. That why it got the 3 stars from me. I don’t know who is running this restaurant but if they would step up their service this would be a 5 star place to be.

We had a number of issues with our visit here. First, just to note, the restaurant is having an identity crisis. It is currently Mexican food, which you would not get from the name or appearance of the restaurant. Second, we had the worst service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. I don’t think this is the case for all the waiters/waitresses (based on what we saw at other tables) but our waitress was horrible. She never checked on us, and she wouldn’t make eye contact with us at all when she did come to our table. We were also unaware of the happy hour going on until we overheard another waiter telling another table. Also, my husband had to get up and walk to the hostess stand to get more chips (we ordered queso) and we never got our water refilled. Additionally, the margaritas we got were not very good. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had at a restaurant, so we do not recommend it at all. From the expensive bill and the horrible service, we would not come back.

This is a wonderful spot with the best lake views of any restaurant in Grand Lake. The 3p-5p happy hour specials on large margaritas are wonderful. The house margaritas are real, tasty, and have good tequila. The food is good, the services is great, and you can’t beat the atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in Grand Lake.

Be careful. What they serve is not what the online menu shows. We ordered the 4 fish tacos and only received two. The service was not what we have had before at Charlies and will not return. We have been customers for years. We do not recommend this place any more.

My family went in for lunch. We waited 5 minutes after being sat before going to ask for service. The server was very nice. We ordered the “grande” nachos which are not big at all especially for $18. Taco salad was just a taco bowl – no lettuce which usually makes up the “salad” part. Very overpriced for the portions and nothing spectacular tasting.
