Took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to receive my order. missing items. The burger and French fries are cold. The 8oz burger weighs 5oz with cheese. Old yellow/white smushy tomato on the burger. I asked them to please not wrap sandwich in foil and it was. I asked for extra cucumbers and tomatoes in salad since I took out the onions and peppers and I recieve barely any. The $12 chef salad came smushed in a tiny container probably so they didn’t have to give as much as they should.
I spoke with Bobby and he was nasty and rude and had a reason for everything that was wrong.
Told me to call slice for a refund. I called them and they said the owner authorized a refund for $10 on my $70 order. He already owed me $5 for the item they forgot so in reality the nasty owner authorized $5 back on my order of way below average cold food.
Disgraceful. It’s not even about the money, it’s the fact that this owner didn’t want to even make anything right. Instead I was accused of trying to get free food which I would rather have my family’s dinner then my money.

I can’t really say that I would go back or recommend this place to anyone. With a pizzeria at the little strip before, one by DMV across the street and another in the Home Depot area there is competition & convenience. No matter which direction you come from they are all equally the same either a U-Turn or Jug Handle there’s no escaping it. The pizza was very dry, past its prime. Surely you know slice pies sit out a while, get reheated and served unless you’re lucky enough to get one just coming out. That’s rare but it’s fair. The square slice (Margarita or Grandma) was $4 each for two slices and a can of Coke $3. The price for 2 specialty slices (just basil & mozz) with a soda should not be $13, believe me I have been to the three other places around a few times never going over $10.The cheapest place was $8, and the most expensive $10. It’s not about the money but wanted to point it out. The guy behind the counter was super friendly so not an issue. The place was dark, drab, outdated so a whole in the wall which is also OK but the place was dirty. The tables / booths all needed a simple wipe & the floors a sweeping. Some guy sitting outside smoking a cigarette and came in a few times, watches TV, went out a few times so it was a pattern. Was he the delivery guy, a customer who just ate or someone who was waiting on a ride? Not sure but if he was an employee if so, he could be wiping down tables, sweeping, making sure the salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, pepper shakers were filled and not look dirty, crusted on top etc. Maybe fill the napkins? Again if he isn’t part of the equation then someone needs to be doing that. The soda was cold, that’s good. The pizza was hot so that’s good also but it was definitely not good. It was dry or stale, could not figure it out but it wasn’t good enough to go back, suggest to anyone or even a friend saying I’m stopping to grab something, do you want something. From there, no I’m good. This is most definitely not a smash and bash review it’s simply just an FYI for the establishment to fix, correct or improve situations because simply putting it, people take notice of that or at least I do. With hopes for something better I regretfully ordered a sandwich to go that was also out of the price range for the other place around and again not good. I took a few bites, tossed it out, left half and when my son came in I said there’s a half a sandwich there if you want from Charlie’s near the liquor store & convenience store on 70. His response was “ The place by the Assisted Living or a different Charlie’s?” I said yeah and he said nah, I’m good, I’d rather have Costco. Um okay. So it’s a bit long, not harsh and just enough twist to hopefully make some sorts of improvement. I get it that prices are rising and people are short of staff however the food that is being served should be fresh and the dining area should be clean. Service was not an issue. I hope this helps. With the location you should be popping with business but it was just me, no mad rush or anything.

Strictly a slice pie review.
The selection was good . I had a white and plain. Over all pretty good pizza the crust was a little on the bland side and kind of bready. I would definitely give it a second shot.

This salad was $16. They should be ashamed of themselves. I can see the bottom of the pan. Never Again!

Used a new app to order from here not realizing I didn’t add the tip and got called from the restaurant (Lakewood location) a few minutes afterwards stating they would not be starting my order unless I added a tip for the driver. I have ordered from both of the Charlie’s pizzas in Tom’s river and in Lakewood and have never ever NOT tipped, nor for any delivery I’ve ever received from ANY restaurant. I was absolutely disgusted by this and it will be the last time I am ordering from them.

$21 for a large plain pie delivered, before tip as well, is ridiculous. Especially when the pizza comes looking like it was made 5 hours ago for slices that never sold, with burnt crust that’s inedible, and cold cheese and sauce. It’s a slap in the face and when we called back to have send a new pie they wanted us to wait multiple hours until “after dinner rush” to make a new one. Never again; bad prices, bad pizza, and the owners smart comments will stop me from ever ordering from there again.

Never had a meal or pizza that wasn’t excellent! Would definitely recommend. Had my husband’s 60th birthday party here and his Italian family raved over the food.

Made a order for delivery which came out to almost $30 and put it on my debit card 20 minutes later someone (a man) calls me and asks if I am going to tip the driver do I want to put it on my card and I said if I can find some money laying around yes if not no well he rudely said well I’m cancelling the order and hung up on me… Well Sir I wouldn’t dare order anything from you or this place with a attitude like that I can and will spend my money elsewhere and so you know Bacoli’s is way better anyway I only called you because they are closed on Sunday

We were greeted nicely by Dave. Ordered 4 grandma slices and a chicken cheesesteak with mushrooms & onions hero with 2 diet cokes. The pizza was dry and it appeared to be sitting out for a while. No moisture or crisp. We took the sandwich home for dinner. It tasted like microwaved chicken(rubbery) We paid $4.50 a slice and $17.00 for the sub and $3.00 a soda, total of $43.00. This place wasn’t that good and the prices were way more than better pizzerias I’ve been to. I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend eating here.
