Perfect. Just perfect. Sentimental sensations alone are worth the trip. Our server was happy, personable, helpful, efficient and thorough. The selection is ex optionally old school; the prices very reasonable. Best $25 meal for two I’ve had in more than twenty years. Great for kids, families, teens and couples young and old.

I stopped by here for the very first time (definitely not the last time) at around 3:30pm on the 2nd of September 2025. This place is awesome! Based on other reviews, I drove 15 miles one way to try Charlie’s Drive-In, and it was totally worth it. I loved everything about it, including driving through the old small-town architecture and atmosphere of Hortonville. The old 50’s style car-hop service was a great throw-back to a time before I even existed. The menu was old style and simple with the basics which allows the kitchen staff to perfect the fewer items they have, and perfect it they have. My burger was amazing, and the ingredients were obviously very fresh. My strawberry milk shake was unlike any other I have previously tried. The strawberries seemed to have blended just prior to the car-hop girl delivering it to my car window. The culinary portion of my experience was utter perfection. The service was excellent as well. When I first pulled in, there was a lot of vehicles in the lot. The young waitress and the chefs cooking away in the kitchen had us down to me and just one other car by the time I left 15 minutes after pulling into the lot. She was friendly, professional and very efficient at her job.

Food was good, prices are very fair and service is awesome. Very friendly and nice play area for children. Car service, eat in car or take advantage of covered tables. It was worth the drive from Seymour. Get there soon as they close mid to late Sept.

Good vibes and staff was very fast and friendly. The food however was only okay. The fries were overcooked and the burger (bacon cheeseburger) tasted like it was boiled with black pepper. The shake was pretty good (very small cup). Was unable to finish the buger due to taste. Food prices were very good. Overall experience was decent. Would definitely not be going back.

My mom and I seen it while driving past during work and am I glad we stopped! Everything tastes super delicious plus prices are amazing for the size of the servings. Very nice lady who gave great service. Not to mention the amazing scenery. Overall 10/10!

After a busy local supper club had a huge wait, we decided to change our tune and get a quick bite from Charlie’s. Let me tell you, we were very happy with our choice. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable which is hard to find these days. We both ordered a mushroom Swiss made with horseradish and onion and the mushroom appetizer. We were both super happy with the mushrooms!! They weren’t soggy slimy messes and were crisp and breaded. The burgers were hot fresh and tasty. We will be back when we are in this neck of the woods again!!
