I live in Newtown and this is my regular local Thai restaurant that I eat at. The specials are a bargain, the food is always fast and fresh, and the service is efficient.
The restaurant is at the start of King Street so in a little quieter part of Newtown if you’re after a bit more calm away from the hustle and bustle.
Seems to attract regulars through the week rather than passing trade (the fact that it’s closed on Saturday is testament to this).

Had a ‘quick’ lunch break with my colleagues. We arrived around 12:10. We were with a group of 6. however, the food did not come at once. so some of us had their food finished before they served the rest of us… So not a convenient place if you want to have a quick lunch.

Seafood Laksa, with questionable ingredients that couldn’t be identified. Crispy pork salad, that gives a new definition to “crispy”. More like inedible rock hard pebbles of fat. Satay chicken, so dry & hard, that puts the Sahara desert to shame. Beef salad, meeh… & the usual deep fried that were OK. The only good item, the complimentary prawn crackers.
The service however, was great. But on food merit, never again…
