Nice old saloon vibes, the staff were kind and service was great. The food was amazing, we all wanted to try their amazing French onion soup. We had a French onion soup guru in the group who rated the soup 4/10, poor cheese pull and a little salty. Still delicious and we all enjoyed it and had a great time! Highly recommend the delicious burgers.

is bar was actually made in France by an Italian immigrant, so there is a ton of admirable history that goes along with it.
On the menu: salads, burgers, tacos and entrees. When we were there, the Smashburger tacos looked interesting. Tacos look like the real deal here: with 3 proteins including carnitas, chicken and shrimp. Yum. The salads looked ample and smelled fresh.

Our waiter was great, friendly and prompt! The atmosphere was great. Food was good but could have been a little better. Overall a good place to go in Killington. We did have a group of 9 with a reservation and they still “had” to sit us in two separate booths which seemed a bit odd but it worked out.

This is a great place. They now take reservations and I bet they are losing a lot of money because of it. I’ll tell you why. Our friends love this place, especially the onion soup, so they always go here when they are in town. They never took reservations before so we dropped in around 4:45. The very kind host said they were all booked up and we could wait in a side room with video games and order drinks and no food but that she didn’t know if we would be seated at all, that it could be an hour. We asked to go on the waitlist I think, my friend did it. Anyway, we stressfully searched open table and couldn’t find anything. Ten minutes later my friend’s phone dinged and they had a table for us. The place wasn’t even packed. Several tables stayed empty pretty much through our whole meal. Meanwhile my other friend overheard the host tell a party that they missed their 4pm reservation and could not be seated. There were open tables!! What a missed opportunity.
Our wait person listened to all our crazy allergies and brought us everything we wanted so fast. We asked for A-1 sauce, that took 30 seconds to get. We were very happy with everything once we were seated and I would definitely go back.

Great spot on our Killington trip! You can find great variety in the menu. Food was quality and the atmosphere is great. Plenty of seating and a packed bar midweek in the summer. Great bear list with local options. My only complaint is the service was a little slow but they may have limited staff in the summer months.

We were in the area after the Spartan Race and needed to grab an early dinner. This seemed to be the only one open that had standard American fare. There was a group of hungry Spartans with me and the menu was vast enough to pique everyone’s taste buds.
I loved the old style look of this place; it really looked like an old saloon from the 1800s but it was built in 1971. However, the bar was from France and shipped to the US in 1887, hence the name. The parking lot was spacious. There was an outdoor patio that looked great to dine in. On the front lawn, there was a game of Cornhole.
Our server was great. The food came out quick. I had the fried chicken over mash potatoes and gravy; wow, a very delectable dinner. Overall, we had a good time with good food.
