During orientation we were very impressed by the food selection, nutrition labels, allergen specific information, welcoming staff and quality of service. They easily accommodated a variety of dietary needs/choices as part of their normal practices, so there was no need to make requests. We found many delicious options for everyone in our group – the vegetarian, the omnivore, the one with a severe food allergy, the one avoiding refined grains and sugars, and the kid who doesn’t love “healthy” foods!

Very rich selection for a more than a decent price, probably the most affordable buffet you’ll ever find. Some foods are just bland, but some are fantastic, the selection is so big that everyone can find something for their taste.

Too many negative reviews!!! The negative reviews made us nervous. We asked to see the breakfast buffet before paying. Steamy scrambled eggs. Omelette station on stand-by. Super soft, fall apart, moist, biscuits! Sausage gravy AND vegetarian gravy. VEGETARIAN SAUSAGE!!! WHAT THE??? Yes. Crispy hash browns (audible crunch). Hot, cheese melting, grits. Oatmeal. Butter. Yogurt station. Fruit Bowl station. Smoothies. The lady at the grill made me a melt-in-your-mouth veggie omelette. I am not a student, alumni or employee of UAH. I have zero association with these people. We paid $9.80 per person ($21.36 total). This place is the BOMB Please ignore the negative reviews and come here for YOURSELF. This is our new spot. I have no idea why so many negative reviews. Like, are they reviewing the same place we’re at right now?? So confused. COME HERE AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF. PLEASE.

Staff is generally really nice, food quality is highly dependent on the importance of the most important person they are expecting to dine there that day (state officials or prospective students mean good quality). On other days, the food is pretty decent but nothing to write home about. Dietary restrictions can be very limiting, but you should be able to scrounge something together.

Wednesday nights sushi is the best! There are other good meals but this is my favorite. You won’t want to miss out on the relationship you make with the sushi chefs

The Grill and International section is wjere its at. Their grilled burgers are juicy and full of flavor. Tuesdays and Thursdays they also serve chicken tenders which are crispy with great white meat. Sometimes on Wednesday they do sushi days, be prepped for long lines

Don’t listen to all of the people saying that this place is good. As a student who goes to UAH, this food is some of the worst food I’ve eaten in my life. For breakfast, the egg aren’t always fully cooked and they never have bacon except for on Fridays. Lunch and dinner, except for the burgers, are just terrible. Never any seasoning at all resulting in some of the plainest food I’ve ever tasted. If you like this food then I’m sorry, you’ve never had good food.

First off, it’s a college campus cafeteria. That said, all you can eat food. Pizza, pasta, and burgers are always there. The dinner changes. It’s not bad, but not great. It typically tastes as if it was frozen. Sometimes it’s much better than others. It’s great for a college campus, and even young families. Beyond that, I wouldn’t voucher for it.

Good food, variety and service. Best University (Culinary) staff ever – well uniformed, professional, friendly and skilled – the absolute best!!! As alumni, I get a kick out visiting the cafeteria for a tasty lunch for a reasonable cost.

The Caf’ has a wide variety of food, but also a consistent selection of burgers and pizza for the picky eater. Food quality is mediocre I guess, sometimes it’s good, other times it’s bad. It’s fine for a buffet. The place is kinda expensive though, meal swipes are a better deal than dining dollars if you plan to eat here all the time.
