I visited here a couple days ago with a friend and it was one of the best lunch breaks we’ve had. You can see them preparing the homemade bread from behind the counter and right beside there are rows of fresh kabobs being grilled.

My friend noted how well seasoned and juicy her chicken kofta was. The owner also takes pride in using fresh produce for his sides and not taking short cuts with canned vegetables. It was very noticeable!

There is no wonder why Charcoal Kabob has been a community staple for 30 years. The simple good food and warm hospitality from the uncle will keep its doors open.

This is my favorite kabob place and I’ve coming here since the late 90’s. I’m a creature of habit so I always get my chicken and steak kabob which are excellent. The bread is always fresh and hot. Everything is homemade

My son told me the Gyro was good so I tried it and I couldn’t be happier that I did. It’s incredible and bursting with flavor, made fresh and could feed 2 people. This is my new spot for gyros now as well.

I highly recommend you get over here asap and get some of this goodness

We had a wonderful experience with the great food and a warm greeting from one of the owners and the staff.

The food was very flavorful! Full of great tastes, a variety of textures and explosions of spices (even mild enough for my palate). Everything was fresh, the meat was tender and melted in your mouth with each bite.

The bread was warm, right out of the oven and was a treat to enjoy…

The mango lassie were rich and creamy. The deserts were sweet and yummy, down to the last drop.

We like it so much, we even carried out for lunch at home the next day.

30 years at this location, they are doing it correct and worth the 30 min. Ride.

We will be back soon to explore more of the menu and enjoy the hospitality.

P.S. They also do quite a carry-out business. Fast and friendly.

Everything was incredible—from the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere. It’s no wonder this family-owned restaurant has been in business for 30+ years!!

The family atmosphere is really welcoming 🙂 The place was very clean and had more seating than it appears from the outside.

We stopped in for lunch and shared the chicken/beef combo and it came with three delicious sauces. It was a good-sized combo meal, so it was great for sharing. But next time I’m getting my own, so I can enjoy any leftovers!

The handmade ice cream and baklava were the perfect little treats we needed at the end of our meal.

We will certainly be back next time we’re in Herndon or Reston!

Have been coming here for years! Food is always very consistent and great. I only get the Kubideh and that’s because it’s always great tasting food. It’s just a little small so not so great for larger parties but overall great place.

This place has been recommended to me by at least a dozen different people. It never disappoints. The depth and complexity of flavors beats your run of the mill kabob shop. Best spot in the Herndon/Reston area by a mile. Might be best in NoVA

I’ve only ever ordered delivery here, but the food is so so so good. I really like veggies so I’m glad there’s lots of options along with the great protein filled kabobs. It can be pricey, but what isn’t nowadays? I’d rather spend my money here and support a local business, you should too! ✌️

Talk about a scam? I ordered a family platter that’s supposed to feed 2-3 people? It had like 2 meat skewers and 1 chicken. I am actually baffled. It’s such a small plate filled w half of it rice. Meat is expensive but I payed 90$. I expect more this is absurd. Def not coming back. This is actually so ridiculous

We came here with a group of 9, and we all enjoyed it. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. The guys behind the counter were friendly and courteous, and we were served amazing hot tea at the end of our meal. It’s a wonderful place for a large group to get together.
