Going to NC State and indulging in the Hillsboro location, this was a delightful surprise on the way back from the beach. Their burgers are the best, hands down. If you ever have the opportunity, make sure to stop.
This particular location has awesome staff who are eager to help. I was personally delighted to see they did away with the old paper ordering process. Some of the old timers might miss that, but it was always a bottleneck. Make sure to finish your meal with a shake!

We ate lunch here today and were very impressed with this location. It wasexceptionally clean, great music, very comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious and well cooked, with the very minor exception of slightly greasy onion rings. Every employee we encountered was professional, kind, helpful and very good at their jobs. The management of this location is really doing a great job. Highly recommend! 10/10, will definitely eat here again.

The Benson Char-Grill consistently delivers that great Char-Grill flavor in a location not far out of the way while en route to the southern NC beaches. I don’t love it as much as the original in Raleigh, but it’s darn good. Ordering is slightly different. You get your own refills (except ice, for some reason). The only things that would improve Char-Grill are Duke’s mayo and Coke products.

Everything was delicious. They did forget to add my hot dog to the bag. Had to go back and the cashier didn’t really understand when I told him we’re missing the hot dog. He said we’ll have it right out. Before I could sit down they called out “hot dog” and he said “it was just sitting on the counter they forgot to put it in the bag”. But food is 5 stars!!

Just delicious! Our server and cashier Anita was so pleasant so sweet so polite. We enjoyed our food and the salad was so fresh and delicious. The burgers are juicy and a nice size. You really are paying for what you get and it’s well worth it!

This char grills prices are insane. They charge for everything extra thing, including cheese. They also ask for tips, which is completely ridiculous because it’s a FAST FOOD restaurant and the prices of the food are very high. The food isn’t even that good. It’s so average. Do NOT support this type of place, if you want to get a burger go to a local joint instead of this mediocre place. Cookout is so much better and they don’t try to swindle customers by asking for a tip.

The Double Char burger was good. The fries were regular. Disappointed they don’t have their own signature sauce. Chicken strips were good, they have bbq, ranch, and honey mustard. That’s it. The bbq sauce is really good. They only give you 1 free sauce then charge for any additional sauces, I don’t understand. Milkshake was not very good and they forgot it! Had to go remind them then it took forever to get! The guy knew nothing about it. The steak burger is not good, don’t get it. It’s an ok spot

Delicious! I believe this is a more recently completed location, which did lead to a lot of nearby construction.
However, a hot charcoal grilled burger cannot be beat by any sense, and this place does them right. They also have chicken and kids options too.
